Chronicles of Avel

My husband and I bought the game to play. It is relatively easy to learn but somewhat challenging for 2 players to win. That being said that is part of what makes it fun. We are very glad that we added this game to our board game collection.

My kids (8 and 5) are not very captivated by this game. I am!The design is so cute! All the monsters are drawn in very neat details.Every part of the game set is nice to the touch.The way the box transforms into a chest is very creative and practical at the same time, because there are a lot of little pieces and they need to go somewhere even packed in their little packets)For the ease and speed I don't use "broken hearts" or "used equipment ability" tokens when I play with my kids and the game itself needs to be simplified a bit - I just can't explain a rule about only three attacks per battle. So we go all the way till we kill a monster.My kids love the part where we colour our heroes and name them.All in all this game makes a perfect basis for us to embark on a fantasy adventure :)

This is a good family game. My eight year old and my wife have both had a blast stopping the beast from destroying our castle. Highly recommend.
