The famous Seiryu Stone is blueish grey in color with sharp jagged edges. Most of them consist of deep cuts and crevices within the stone itself. Seiryu Stones frequently have calcite veins within their layers, creating a great contrast from its brilliant blueish grey hue to its stripes of white veins. Seiryu stones will definitely raise your pH and gH depending on how many pounds per gallon you have added into your tank. They are completely shrimp safe for Red Cherry Shrimp, Ghost/Glass Shrimp, and Amano Shimp. When getting into Crystal Red shrimp, it becomes a bit risky and you have to be cautious or counteract your rocks if they are affecting the water parameters too much. RO water or driftwood will help counteract the water effects of Seiryu Stones. Not the best shaped stones
I purchased this pack hoping to use them for an Iwagumi tank setup. However, the stones I received were fairly ugly and did not go well together. They are not strong enough visually to use in an aquascape alone. I would need some larger focal stones, but all of these are small or medium with little to no character. Very disappointing!

This is not true Seiryu stone, but a limestone ...
This is not true Seiryu stone, but a limestone knockoff that raised my pH and water hardness levels (My pH went from 6.8 to 7.4 my kh from 3 dh to 6 dh, and my gh from 8 dh to 13 dh.). True Seiryu stones are not supposed to do that. It's probably ok for hardwater fish but not for tetras.

Had to use it but i did not like it
The pieces were small to medium to big sizes which is good. The stone itself had good shape as well.In all the pictures shown seiryu stones look much darker than the pieces i got. This is one of the reason why i order them because i have black substrate. The pieces i got mostly are light colored more like yellowish and some even have white in it. But over all it was nowhere close to grey/dark grey shown in pictures. I had to use them because i was setting up my aquarium. Ended up using only 3 pieces and went with driftwood.

I liked how the stones looked but I only recived 3 rocks. the biggest was about 5-6 inches accross and looked good but I had expected more than three rocks. this is a really dense type of rock so dont expect a large amount of rock for 10 pounds. but they did look good over all

Rocks had great character, and a nice variation in size
Rocks had great character, and a nice variation in size. I used six in my 10 gallon tank and still have four left over. They also arrived a lot sooner than estimated.
