Small!: Sunday Times Best Books 2022

This story was such a lovely, refreshing and exciting read for both me and my 7yr old daughter! The story is fun, the characters are so wonderful and the way it’s written just so natural, it makes you read in an animated way, without even realising it! Loved it! Can’t wait to read the next one!!

Brough this book for my son as we begin the transition away from illustrated books and he loved it (and so did I). It was engaging from the beginning and a joy to read.

After finishing a couple of Roald Dahl books I was wondering what to read next as my 5-year-old's bedtime story. Small! had him engrossed - giants, swamp goblins, lots of stomping and some really yukky food; great! I'm sure he'll get even more out of it when he reads it himself in a few years but it was lots of fun reading it together and I'm happy to pop this one on the shelf. It's a keeper!

This book was an absolute joy to read! Full of wit and charm and memorable characters. Not only do you fall in love with the characters but the illustrations are amazing too. Highly recommend. An incredible debut.

I enjoyed reading this and I’ll be giving it to my grandson for his birthday as I’m sure he will enjoy it too !
