Worth the cost
It’s not as good as the Amana alternative with the same design, but for the price difference it leaves a decent finish

Works great for a short time
I mainly use it for MDF, Maple & Walnut.-Pros: Cheap, level and works great-Cons: Cheaply made and does not last long.-Conclusion: This was my first surfacing bit. It was great. It got the job done in the beginning. After about 4 hours of use (not continuously but over about a month.) I started to getting burn marks on Maple and a slight unevenness. I also noticed one of the flutes is a micro off the others so there may be a slight deviation on the shaft. For the price, it is decent enough but as I progress and demand more from my bits, I will be buying better ones.

Great bit, but out of the box…
An outstanding bit for the value, but when opening the bit a good size amount of the bit was chipped which is an inconvenience and this is possibly due to shipping but overall an absolutely great value of money.

The Spoil board Surfacer that can also plane!
I got this for my DH and he's very happy indeed! The following is what he told me:Resurfaced an area of731mm by 1441mm in MDF on a CNC Router, depth of cut was 3mm at 3200mm/s spindle speed on Makita RT0701C router (1.25 HP). This bit is awesome! MDF presented a finish akin to sanded (my Z axis is absolutely trammed correctly and this is critical if you want a great finish) including where my spoilboard joints were.My spoil board has been surfaced before so I accidentally tested this cutter on steel, bear in mind my router is aluminum framed OpenBuilds system, courtesy of retaining screws holding the board down from underneath, I was only aware of it when I saw sparks! One screw was beautifully machined to a high finish at 1mm diameter!!Absolutely recommend this facing tool, so sharp and accurate I am confident it can be also used for planing as suggested by the manufacturer, the finish at the speeds I used over a large area including a joint back this up.Oh. And the inserts are indexable, there are 4 of them, given how fast I can cut I will be keeping my board in true much more frequently, inserts will be expensive, but the finish and longevity (as well as steel cutting tolerance) make this a sound investment.Very Happy!

Good surfacing bit
This is a god surfacing bit that leaves a nice finish. If you use this to make a pocket, you will see lines on the vertical edge. Please note that this is not meant to plunge into your surface and will not work in that method. The bit is well balanced and had no issues when run at high rpms.
