It's possible. But I will tell you I bought the star pattern for my granddaughter first in large which is her regular size and had to return it for an XL as soon as I took a look at it. She is eleven but tall. I think an XXL would fit me but I am 5'2". I only weigh 105 but since you are clearly slim it might work.

We went a size up, but then again our almost two yea old is a little chunkers. I find myself usually always doing a size or two up depending on product anyway. If ur baby is petite or average I think her actually size should work just fine:). Or a size bigger wouldn’t hurt. I really liked the vest we got, it allows for wiggle room under it like a sweater and some growth :).

This ran very big and we returned so would suggest ordering a size smaller.
