This whistle works perfectly for what I need! Shouting across a noisy playground for my recess classes was getting annoying and they really couldn't hear me. Now they know, one blast of the whistle and it's time to line up! Not bulky on my lanyard and I shared the extra one with another recess teacher.

At least twice a year I loose my voice, I used to call off work due to the type of work that I do but this year I decided to get a whistle. This is soo loud and effective. I can see it being useful in an emergency situation.

Whistle was purchased for a training tool for my dogs. since it was a two pack however one will be used for my personal use when I am out should I encounter a situation while shopping. That is how nice they are. Great purchase for the price Defiantly a five star.

Whistle may not be stainless steel as stated in the ad. I think it might be aluminum which does not effect its functionality. If aluminum, it would be lighter vs stainless steel which would not be a bad thing. It is still very loud and should work well in an emergency.

I live in the country and blasted it, i could hear the echo even after I uncovered my ears. I got these for our underground tornado shelter.

These are a really useful bit of kit that I got for my partner and I when we go out hiking. Great in case of an emergency or if we become separated in poor weather. They work really well (i.e. very loud!), are very lightweight and seem to be durable and weatherproof - she wears hers clipped to the outside of her bag in all weathers and it's still in top shape.

Bought this as a 2-pack, for use with dogs and generally about to signal people too far away for voice alone.The specs say 150dB loud - I've no sensible way to test that, but if you blow hard enough it will hurt your ears a little. The dogs can definitely hear it and if you blow it inside, you'll upset a fair few people!Tone-wise, it's quite shrill and with a trilling sound similar to the referee's whistle with a pea in the chamber. Comes with a keyring and a selection of attachments, but is easy enough to fix your own choie of cord or lanyard to the end.You can easily cover one of the slots, if you have such a need.

This is a good whistle that is small, low-profile, and easily carried around the neck. It is very loud, and being stainless steel, will not rust. It is metal, so in cold weather it will stick to your lips if not kept next to your skin. Keeping it around your neck inside your clothing solves that issue. You could also wrap a thin layer of some type of tape around the mouthpiece, so your lips do not touch the metal and stick if it is below freezing. This is a sturdy whistle that won't break or get crushed. A good piece of kit to keep on you while out in the bush.

I haven't been able to fully blow it because even out on one of the country roads when I tried it while driving it just about blew my ears in the car. I had it out the window and didn't fully blow it as much as I could have and it was extremely loud! It will be great to deter any bad guys in parking garages or coyotes that want to cause problems for us when out walking our pets.
