The good stuff
So incredibly lightweight and easy to use. Absolutely worth it. Adjusts to my height at 5:6 fairly well. I would say this is the best paddle, the quality feels amazing. It's pukka lightweight carbon fiber. Whenever I talk to my friends and try their paddles. This is the lightest one.Breaks into 3 parts so it's easy to transport. I'm very happy with it.

Decent paddle but better options out there
Decent paddle, but not the best for 200. They key flaws are a undersized blade, and the fact that handle is not shaped to your hand like most others. There are other superior paddles in the 150 dollar range so I can't recommend this one.

One of the best SUP Carbon Paddles that I own!
The media could not be loaded. This is the best paddle that I have ever seen, used, or owned as of today! This paddle is not only light, but it's also strong and the fit and finish is flawless. Anybody that is on the water a lot will tell you that the best paddles available are the carbon fiber ones. The pushing power that you get from this paddle is insane. To say that I love this SUP paddle is an understatement! There are three pieces that fit solidly together, and the marker pole stays in place. This carbon fiber paddle has a double lock installation system with no rattling, twisting, or movement. It is so well built that it acts like one solid piece. I love that the paddle does break down into 3 pieces because it makes for easy carrying and storage. It would have been nice if they would have included a carrying case, but that's not a make or break deal for me. This carbon paddle feels great in your hands, and there aren't any rough or sharp edges at the seams. The carbon fiber shaft only weighs 25 ounces, which is 708 grams, and it actually does float. It can easily be adjusted from 71" to 87". If you have a kayak that you want to use it with they give you the option of purchasing another blade. We may actually buy it because we do have several kayaks and I would love to use it with them as well. I love the look, the feel, and the portability of it! The angle of this paddle is incredible! I have never felt such easy and perfect cutting through the water as I have with this paddle. It takes all the work out of paddling and brings back the fun! I highly recommend this paddle!

WOW. It has all the good design elements for a 3-piece paddle.
I have several SUP paddles in the price range of $120 to $200, and they are all 3-piece paddles. The material is the biggest cost factor. If you want a full carbon paddle (i.e., both shaft and blade), you can expect to pay at least $150 and up. Pay attention that any lower priced paddles may have blades that are NOT made of carbon fiber. One reviewer complained that blade size is too small. But, I compared this to my two other paddles in the same price range, the blade sizes are about the same. The subtle difference is due to the shape of blades and the size difference is negligible. Also the palm handle is indeed shaped (symmetrically) to be held comfortably in hand. It's just the palm handle is not slightly angled, which is a design that some may or may not like. This product has combined all the good designs, especially for its shaft connector joints, easy to tighten/loosen and lock it down tight without using any tools. There is ZERO wiggle in the shaft joints once properly adjusted. In comparison, my two other paddles in the same price range have their own issues, one has a little of wiggle and and the other requires a screw driver to adjust the tightness of its locking lever. My only minor complaint is that no bag is included .

Not worth the $$.
I'm an avid paddleboarder and kayaker and jumped at the chance to review this paddle, as a result. I was kind of shocked to see that it only came with the SUP paddle and that you have to purchase another paddle to do the conversion for kayaking. For the $$, it really should come with all the things. That being said, it tracks fine with the SUP, is convertible for the sup, is light, is strong, it floats... but in comparison with a $40 3-piece carbon fiber paddle from another brand, I see no difference in performance. In short, it's just not worth the price tag.

Top Tier, Full CF paddle
Unlike a lot of paddles that say they are carbon fiber, it is usually on the shaft. There really isn't much weight savings. The Thurso Elite is full carbon fiber, handle and paddle included. The handle is very comfortable and smooth seams. The locking mechanisms are clamping as well as a metal snap on the bottom piece. All the pieces fit together well with no issues and stayed tight. The markings are nice and I like the addition of adding a height chart. It is easy to swap between people and adjusts back. There were no QC issue sin the weave or seams. You can also convert this paddle to a double paddle with a full CF paddle. The only issue I have is that at this price, it would have been nice to get a bag or some kind of protective piece at this price. CF is pretty fragile so this would have made a more complete package. Otherwise, for the money, this is a top of the line paddle and so far has worked really well.

Super lightweight and strong!
My wife and I love to go paddle boarding and kayaking in the bay and this paddle has the potential to replace several others since it can be converted to a kayak paddle with addition of a second blade - I only wish it had come with the second blade for the $$. It comes apart into 3 pieces that fit in the paddle board bags making both storage and transport easy. It’s adjustable and works well for both my 5-6 wife and for me at just under 6 with room at either end for taller or shorter. It’s extremely light and strong - it’s very sturdy, and it does float. I’ll probably spring for additional end at some point. Great well made piece of equipment.

Made me realize my other CF paddle, isn't :D
This is a great paddle, and the one I reached for all summer. I had what I thought was a full carbon fiber paddle prior to that, and bought this one for my son to use so he'd feel the difference when we went paddling together. Welp. Once I put this one together I immediately felt the weight difference and knew my other CF paddle wasn't 100% carbon fiber. Guess which one my son got? Hey, we're always told to take care of ourselves first, right?Used almost every day of the summer on the paddleboard — on lakes, saltwater and high waves — and even while crabbing on the Salish sea. GREAT paddle, delivers in every way.

Fat handle Grip Ruins It.
I really wanted to love this paddle. It's very well made and the full carbon is sweet. The blade looks amazing however it doesn't have your traditional SUP paddle grip that would be shallower on the palm and deeper for the fingers. This is fat on both side and after an hour of paddling, will become very fatiguing IMO. I am 5, 7" so don't have huge hands, so this may not be an issue for you. I really like the traditional shape of a SUP paddle grip. Much more comfortable. I don't undertsand why this has a canoe type grip. Lame, I am going to return it.
