Cobalt made a weed wacker that has been updated that really needs this. Every time you would stop it would shoot out line instead of when you really wanted it to. Stop to open a gate it would shoot out line you didn't need. stop to rest same thing. This was wasting quite a bit of line. Using this made it a totally new and better tool. It was really hard to try to replace the whole head but this is a snap to put on.

The of kobalt string trimmer is shorter and the new cap does not fit it. Must be designed for the bumper type. It would have seemed the manufacture would have changed the model so you know with certainty if it is a true replacement part. Lot of discussion on youtube and they showed me how to replace the head but now i have a bunch of plastic to throw away!!

My neighbor was giving away a Kobalt 40v trimmer as the blue plastic head had broken and they couldn't find a replacement. I took it, ordered this part, and now the trimmer is running great! Flimsier plastic than the original, but that's why you get 3!

I bought this because I'm tired of broken string over and over while I'm doing the perimeter and edges. This unit fits perfectly in the trimmer and is very easy to assemble. The blades do a good job as long as you don't hit anything hard, then you could lose part of the tip. My yard is surrounded by chain link fence, so it's a little difficult for me not to hit the fence. Even with hitting the fence, I didn't have to change the blade once. I'll have to adjust the way I trim a little bit. Overall, I'm satisfied with this item and would recommend.

Having this unit in place allows use of the blades and string. Powerful combo for knocking down the medium stuff. Wish the blades were thicker to smash thru some tougher stuff. I have not been gentle with this product, and wore thru the first set of blades only a third of the way. I am very happy overall with the product but wish they would sell a thicker blade also. I may 3D print a test set lol.

These are fine, until the strands tangle. I have to stop 2 or 3 times every spool to adjust the strands.That said, they are inexpensive and come with new covers.

We ordered the wrong one. But was super nice. Great price

Easy and to load, product cap does not fit flush with on unit. It allows the weed eater cable to wrap around it and everything flies of.
