TrionAir Bear 255649-102 Replacement Filter - 20x25x5, Three Per Box

I always use the cheaper filters and replace more frequently, as a friend who works in heating/cooling tells me this helps the units to run more efficiently. (our unit at work is always being serviced for this reason) Unfortunately when we bought our house, we were unable to find the filters needed for our furnace anywhere but one local store, where they average $35-$50 a piece on sale, with all of them being "higher quality" allergen air filters that cause the machine to work harder. No generic/economy options available in any store I looked at. Then I found these - a case of 3 filters for less than the price of 2 at my local store! They arrived in perfect condition and fit my furnace. They are still of good, sturdy quality, and are working great so far. I will continue buying these.

Great deal for 3. When I moved in I was not up on the filter aspects because I always had baseboard type heat. After about 6 months I noticed trouble breathing and my asthma was acting up. Finally figured out that these are only good 8 months max. The one I took out was so filthy. Within a week everything air quality wise was great and this filter catches alot of stuff and is of solid construction. Deep pleets. I change every 8 months or so. Will order again. Highly recomended.

Size is a little off which was noted in some other reviews. If you have some wiggle room in your unit, it should work. Mine was a tight fit. I got it to fit, but was difficult. Arrived in good condition, fast shipping and nice individual packaging. If size hadn't been a bit larger than avertised, I would have given 5 stars

The size is incorrect. These filters are quite a bit bigger than what it says. I have been buying the same size filters for yrs and from different companies depending what’s on sale. Last time I bought them from a furnace company after they came to clean it. They all fit just fine. This one I couldn’t even force it in.Theres a reason these are the lest expensive. And bringing all 3 of these back to UPS was a pain in the rear. Lines are long for UPS right now w/ everyone returning and sending Christmas gifts.

I purchased this in January and the filter worked great. When I went to change the filter months later I noticed the next filter is one inch to wide and does not fit. so I threw one away because I didn't notice the size in time to return it. I guess home depot here I come, The two filters came out expensive.

These are great. My Heating/cooling companies and I have 2 one business one residential both sell filters and it could be a good business but one they they both told me 6 months is a joke for replacement. 18 to 24 months is fine. Just check them in fall and spring. I had one that I changed a few years ago during the 100 days in a row of below 32 degree weather that filter was looking full after 19 months. Purchase what was recommenced, a higher rating will restrict the airflow to your unit making it work harder. So if merv 8 is what is suggested to get a higher number it's just now worth it.

Ordered these back in 2015 and now in 2018. Received exactly the same item both times and same as pictured. They work perfectly in my Lenox furnace. Quick delivery, excellent packing & good price.

When I had a new furnace installed last year, this is they filter they used. When I went to replace it, I was surprised on how much dust the filter captured. As there had been nothing special going on since the installation, the filter was clearly doing a good job. Buying them in a 3 pack gives you a good value as well.
