20050 Basic Extension Outdoor Mist Cooling System

I bought this extension piece because Wal-Mart had the Basic kits on clearance for $3. I bought three of the Basic kits thinking that I could just daisy chain them together but after reading through the instructions and looking at the tubing I realized I needed these extensions. I ended up using two kits and the extensions for my back porch. The other two kits and the extension I zip tied around the top of my boys trampoline. Now when we are using the porch I have the misters going off and if my two boys are jumping on the trampoline I turn on the misters for them as well. Not sure how well the tubing will hold up in the South Texas heat but hopefully at least for 1 year. The sun here degrades everything plastic fairly quick (it turns really brittle).

I was excited to try the Orbit mister system to cool down my patio a bit during our very hot Arizona summers. The product was easy to install, but the spray range from the mister heads was only mediocre and I had problems from the start with a couple of the heads leaking. No matter how hard I tried I could not correct the problem. To extend the spray reach and also better focus the direction of the spray, I bought some extenders, which worked well for a short time but soon started clogging up (mineral build-up from our hard water) and have to be cleaned for almost every use. Bottom-line, this was a lot of work for very little benefit, so I've ordered another system from a competitor, which I hope will prove more effective.

Didn't know expansion kit was 3/8 not 1/4. Make sure expansion kit matches system or can't attach. They should show that. Otherwise the misters are great.

I’ve been happy with this product. It did not take much time to install. What I liked best is how it seamlessly attached to the first mister I had installed.

A mister is a must in dry heat.
