Fantastic value!
This chess set is perhaps the BEST set available for the value. The quality is much higher than what you’d expect from a plastic chess set. They are official tournament size and have a perfect weight to them. Feel amazing in the hand and easy to play with. Also love the design modeled after the famed 1972 world championship pieces. Classic look, incredible value, great feel, highly recommended.

Amazing pieces!!
These chess pieces are amazing. The contrast of the color is pleasing to the eye, and construction of every piece fits the theme as whole nicely. Each piece is thick, and has a nice center piece. Very good for those intense blitz matches outdoors. I haven’t dropped them, but they very durable as well. I’m just glad no pieces came broken. Overall an amazing addition to my set

Order with superglue and you’ll be fine
A couple of the pawns came broken. You should probably order a pack of super with the set. Was an easy fix to super glue and other than that I love using the set. It’s the most affordable Reykjavik set on the market and I fee it’s worth gluing back together to get. Good feel and great look to the set. They just need to use some damn packing peanuts and everything would be alright.

Underwhelming
Overall I like the pieces but they are not as nice as expected. The natural color is more beige than I expected. The pawn collars are very prominent and sharp. They are bound to chip and don't quite look as good as the normal rounded collars you see on pawns. The pieces have protruding plastic seams on them, which causes them to look cheap. The felt is not felt, it is thin green paper. Some of the pieces don't sit flat because the bottom is not perfectly flat or smooth. Quality felt would probably alleviate this issue. I wouldn't pay more than $20 for these. It was if they had the right idea but cut corners in the production. Pretty disappointing.

Nice design and a step above the average $15-20 similar ...
Yes, they are plastic, but weighted. Nice design and a step above the average $15-20 similar set. If you aren't going to purchase a higher-end wood set and want some pieces that you can actually use in OTB play, these are a solid choice. I've only had these pieces for a couple of weeks now, but I purchased them based on playing with a friend's set.

Not worth the price
The quality of these pieces is disappointing. The seams from the mold are very evident and numerous pieces have “casting” errors. I do not recommend this set.

Tournament Director Loved my Pieces
These are lovely pieces. In my first tournament using them, when the director passed by our table, he said "I love those pieces." No kidding. They're heavy, feel great in the hand and I appreciate the homage to to chess championship history. Moving forward, this will be the set I give as a gift.

Very nice set of plastic chessmen.
Nice set of pieces, well-weighted, with minimal molding issues, no razor edges, nice felt bottoms. Be aware that the "natural" color is quite dark, almost tan or light brown, so if you're looking for just off-white, you might be disappointed, just get the white.
