The Raven Song: A Hidden Norfolk Thriller (Book 11)

I enjoyed this book. I liked the style it was written in. I liked the way the different characters were built up. I liked the way the story gained momentum slowly and steadily.

I'm loving this series. The characters are a well crafted blend, from the team, their families and the wider community. Humour, is also, making more of an appearance throughout. Love the way Tamara's parents attempt to organise her personal life and Cassie' sarcastic comments liven up the serious moments beautifully. This was a gripping story, with an unexpected twist at the end. Highly recommended read.

This is a relatively new author for me but this author certainly delivers a thriller which has all the right parts to keep you intrigued and wondering how the end could finish. I will certainly be reading more.

As usual another super read from JM Dalgliesh, looking forward to the next thrilling instalment the Norfolk police family, because that’s what they are a close knit unit of detectives, who are like family. Superb writing

So I can accept the conversationEric looked at her quizzically. “Isn’t Newcastle on the coast?” “Aye, but it’s a proper city, you know? ".and take it as humorous banter ignoring the crap geography. Niggling that he has his characters access information that doesn't appear to exist and not for the first time. He is not alone!! How much easier would family history research be if they had been created!!!While the story of the victims is sad but believable it doesn't work out as a police procedural without a lot of padding and a lot of characters unavailable to challenge or progress the actual storyline.
