I was purchasing the half gallon water bottles with the little metal ball, but after a while, it seems like no matter what I did, I never could get them to seal properly. So I bit the bullet and bought all new water bottles for my meat rabbits that I can just fill from the top, no more carrying them back and forth to the water faucet. Wow! What a difference! I love these! I still have to have the heated bottles for sub-freezing weather, but any time the weather is warm enough they have plenty of water. Now if we have to be gone on vacation for a few days I can be sure they all have plenty of water. Well worth the money spent.

I love these water bottles. I’ve been using this brand for a year. They are Easy to use and clean. However, the small o-ring they supply with the newer models, for the brass nipple is finicky. It took me an hour to get it to the perfect adjustment so it doesn’t leak.I plan to get new o-rings for the nipples. The larger o-rings supplied with previous bottles are still going strong and never game me an issue. Aside from that, I would have given these bottles 5 stars.

The lid needs a redesign, it will not stay on. I know others have taped theirs on because it's got the flip up part, but I shouldn't have to use tape on a $22 water bottle. The plastic is too flimsy at the top for it to hold it's shape and the lid snap on area isn't deep/aggressive enough to hold it to that shape.If that was fixed, it'd be 5 stars. The valve works fine, and the capacity is great.

Be very cautious before purchasing this item. I thought it looked like the perfect way to get water to my guinea pigs without the mess. However, there are some pretty significant problems with the design. First of all, the little metal peg/gasket has to pushed in for water to come out. This has to be moved by the mouth of your pet to get water. This has cut up the gums and lips of my guinea pigs as they’ve tried to get water. Additionally, the peg/gasket will sometimes get caught in the open position. This will cause more water to come out freely. The flooding/puddles were much worse with this product than they were with my previous bottle system. I try not to discourage people from buying things as everybody’s experience can be different. However, please consider what has been mentioned in this review before you buy it, and also consider your own pets safety.

This water feeder is so much better than the ones we have had from normal pet supply companies. You don’t have to take it apart to add water or do light cleaning, very water proof, very stable due to the square/rectangle design, and holds a ton of water. We ended up getting two so our rabbits aren’t fighting over the water and we can go even longer without refilling.

Update: Drips like all the rest. Not worth it after all!I have bought so many water bottles over the years for my guinea pigs and all of them leak no matter what they might advertise. I was always concerned about the water bottle being empty even after I filled it because it would leak and the bottom of their cage would be damp. So, i am trying this one and so far, I love it. It leaked a little the first day, but just when the guinea pigs were drinking. It's easy to fill and the guinea pigs like it. I am hesitate to get super excited, but I have to say, so far I am pretty happy. I would highly recommend based on what I am experiencing after a week!! Yippee!!

It’s definitely leak proof and rabbits seem to be able to use it fine. My only disappointment is the lid, seems very cheap I’ve only had this about 2 weeks and the lid has s as l ready broken

The container is great! I don’t have to take it down. I can just refill it. It took my Guinea pigs a little while to get use to the spout.
