There must be some fake reviews on here. There is no way this product could have 4.5 stars. The manual is difficult to understand and was very obviously written by someone who does not speak English as a first language. After many attempts I could not change the temp setting from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Am returning this for a brand that i am familiar with. Also, my thermometer arrived looking like it had been previously openened and used.Here are just a few funny quotes from the manual for your reading pleasure."The theremometer is placed in a position not touched by children.""Don't measure the temperature after doing sports, washing and 30 minutes before dinner.""All operation should do when power on.""Press start key one time we recommend you better.""It is easy, hygiene and accurate."

Great Thermometer
Great thermometer since it is very easy to use. We just need to installed two AAA batteries and the thermometer is ready for use. There is an option of Celsius and Fahrenheit that we can opt before use. We just need to take the cap off if you want to use it to check through the ear or just check through the forehead as it is easier. It is easier since we do not need to wake the kid up if we want to check through the forehead. Memory storage feature also useful since the feature makes it easier to monitor the fever.

Nice gift for new parents
This thermometer is easy to use, and so far I can tell is very accurate. It works super fast. I am very impressed. It can be used for ear and forehead, which is very easy to take kids temperature when they’re sick. This thermometer keeps a memory of the least 20 readings which is great. Nice gift for new parents.

check around before purchasing
We still cannot get this to read correctly and stay in fahrenheit to celsius. confusing instructions. I had another one purchased from QVC which I lost in a fire, that was more accurate and easier to use.

Used less than 5 times since buying and will not turn on now. Have changed batteries 3 times. Very disappointing.
