Using the Hornady Lock-N-Load AP press with the #1 shell plate makes it smooth and easy to turn out 30-06 and .308 ammo.

These sheel plates are stirdy. No flex on bending. Holds casings in place very well. Makes production go much smoother.

Works but may require modification
Love these things, and the LNL system in general. This one is pricey, which stinks and to boot I had to make a modification to the leading edge of each corner that the spring rests on (see photos). The hard corner was preventing the spring from slipping under the edge that the spring glides on to hold the cases in place, as opposed to sliding off in position 5 into the groove which allows a completed shell to eject and a new case to be inserted into position 1. My correction was to take an orbital sander with a 220 grit disc and gently round off the leading corner of each potition (see photos) until the spring reliably fed under the shellplate at each position. I removed a small amount of material between tests so as not to remove too much material, in case of any unintended consequences, which I have not run into as of yet. Will update if any errors occur due to this modification. Other than that the plate works fine, and the work to the plate only took a few minutes. Happy loading!
