You simply slide it on over your visor.The engraving is done well although the baby does lose a few of it's features. I like how it is blackened between the elements so that the overall design stands out. This feature makes it easy to read the words as well.Overall this is a heavy visor clip (heavier than other's I've seen) and should sit in my daughter's car for a long time with no problems.
