Awesome deal
My package arrived on time. The box was wrapped in a plastic bag and the box was a bit messed up but the product was perfect. I seasoned them even though they came pre-seasoned, but that was just my OCD kicking in. Used the larger pan already for breakfast and it was great. No problems with sticking. I have used cast iron before and love them. I can't wait to use the smaller one. I was actually looking at getting only a small one, but the deal for both was too good to pass up. The store brand was almost $18 for just the little one. The larger pan in the store was $25, so this offer was perfect and a great cost.

Quality skillet at a budget friendly price
I have used both of my new cast iron skillets and so far love them. The best thing was the pre-seasoning. After I used them for the first time I decided to add a little more oil and season them again. I don't think this was a necessity but it didn't hurt anything. These pans are gorgeous and appear to be high quality. Once I use them for a while, if they continue to meet my expectations, I plan to buy more in different sizes..

Good stuff, but should be polished...
I just bought a bunch of cast iron cookware, and this was part of it. It's my first set of cast iron. I noticed that the surface is rough, and I know from using other people's cast iron cookware that the surface is supposed to be smooth. I did some research and found out that manufacturers of cast iron cookware used to polish their cookware decades ago, and have pretty much stopped doing it.So, the cookware doesn't really NEED to be polished, but I'm going to do it anyhow because it's like "COME ON, REALLY...!?!" Then I'll have to re-season it.I'm giving this 4-stars because I found out that this is normal in the industry now. The ONLY complaint that I have about this cookware is that the surface is just a tiny bit rough. I can't give it 5-stars because many people are likely to feel the same about the rough surface, but are NOT willing to polish it...even though this seems to be the new standard in the industry. For info on how to polish cast iron, just search the web or check out YouTube videos, lots of info already out there...

Cooked with the 12inch pan the same day and it fried up the meat great. This is an awesome deal for a lifetime ...
Everyone needs a 12inch cast iron skillet. This pan has been a life saver and evening distributes heat well. Although the pan is rough...it's cast iron so wouldn't expect anything else. Once I got them home I coated them with canola oil and warmed on low. Cooked with the 12inch pan the same day and it fried up the meat great. This is an awesome deal for a lifetime pan. Great quality.

Quality Pan
Don't let the price fool you! These are wonderful pans and I've used them both a few times each in a couple of days. I added a little pre-seasoning to each before the first use just to be safe, and then oil after each use. They are the only pans I use now! No sticking, perfect steak sear, fried potatoes till perfectly golden brown and crispy. Cannot say enough about these. If you're on the fence, buy them!

These pans have a pretty smooth finish
For the price of these pans, I am really impressed how well they are working. The larger skillet accepts a lid from another old pan I had, which saves trying to either find one, or having to buy a very heavy cast iron one. I use an induction cook top, which has a couple caveats. First, it is a ceramic surface, and one can get a little nervous about scratching it up. These pans have a pretty smooth finish, and I have seen no marks so far! Second, induction uses magnetic pulses to create heat, rather than a direct heating element. The efficiency of this process in most pans leaves a little to be desired. However, in cast iron, it is impressive how well it heats up, and stays hot. I love that. My last comment is just advice to cast iron owners. Clean your pan with water and a scrubber when done, and DRY it. Most people who have issues with these types of pans are not getting them dry.

Great value
Although the description states its pre-seasoned, it still needs to be seasoned, kind of disappointed in that. That is why I purchased it. The larger skillet is larger than I expected which is great. Once properly seasoned I am sure they will get many years of use.

Heavy and durable
I have been using these pans for over 2 months and I love them. Cast iron is an adjustment from non-stick pans, but well worth it. These pans are very heavy though so I am not sure I will be able to heft them around when I am 80.
