Great plastic kit for light duty applications

These work really well, I used them with a plastic surface mount box. Being waterproof wasn't critical but these make a great strain relief and keep the wire from getting pulled out!It might seem obvious to those who work with this stuff a lot, but I had a hard time finding the right sized bits to drill holes for these. I ended up using a metric step bit, but it went in 2mm increments and I ended up having to go a little bigger than I would have liked. I'm guessing these are sized for standard knock-out diameters or conduit threads. Since these are NPT threads, I'm assuming these are standard sizes, or at least close, so it's no reflection on the product, but if you don't work with this stuff much, definitely take a look at the sizing chart shown by the seller and make sure you have a way to drill the right sizes if you're doing a custom project and your holes aren't already punched out!

We jut finished a big time kitchen remodel on our old farmhouse. One of the items installed was a dishwasher. Some of the necessary hardware was included with the dishwasher, but not all of it. One of the missing components was a strain relief fitting for the hardwired power cord. I found these. They are high quality and easy to figure out. It worked great and my install is now code compliant.

While I don't often have a need for NPT fittings, I have recently been replacing some wiring that requires them. I got this selection thinking it would fill all my needs, but it didn't. Turns out different boxes or housings seem to have different standards and, even though these indicate NPT sizes, they did not screw in correctly for at least two of my electrical switch housings. I basically jerry rigged them to fit, but I got them to form a secure enough seal. One housing was an Intermatic timer box. I found a size to fit through the hole, but the base of these connectors was not as wide on the outside as it should have been to form a proper, tight seal. Still, I got it to work. The other end was a Chinese made pool pump. I could not find a connector that matched the pump screw threads (it needed to be screwed in because there was no room to use a nut on the inside). I got it to work by combining it with a metal wire connector I had. Seems like it will be secure enough.The one thing these connectors are good for is use with round electrical wiring. Forms a nice, tight seal....when they fit.

I have a solar panel hookup on the roof of my shipping container and needed to make sure my connections were water proof. I do not have to have to climb up and check the connections every time there is a windstorm or a rainstorm. These connectors work well and are a necessity if you are going to do your own hookups. Your connections need to be waterproof or you will end up with shorts. These have worked for me and there is no reason they shouldnt work for you. The connectors are well made and are waterproof. You get a bunch of different connectors and everything about these are quality.

Easy to install and a good variety of sizes. I recommend this set.

Very good set of cable glands, they seem very good quality so I’m curious to see how the seals hold up over time.

I used these cable glands installing solar onto the roof of my overlanding vehicle. They installed rather easily and look very nice. The seal is also perfect to the weather, as confirmed by washing my car with the headliner still down to test. Good product!

How difficult is it to get the color right? I needed white for a job where the appearance was important but the cable glands I got are light grey. Don't put white in the product description when it's actually grey. I had to order from a different vendor to get a product that is actually white. A waste of time and money and the latches on the storage container it came with don't keep the container shut so you have to tape it or use a rubber band etc. otherwise have the contents empty out all over the place. The storage container is decent and useful to keep if it worked but instead it adds to all the plastic already in landfills.
