This Battery Tender is a vehicle lifesaver. My vehicle's batteries discharged several times over the years due to a parasitic drain (security system or GPS). It took several boosts and batteries from 'Triple A' for me to finally do some research on what I could do in order to avoid this issue. I found the Battery Tender. It solved the problem. No more of the dreaded click-click-click sound you hear when your battery won't start the car.A sturdy product. Nice setting illuminations to tell you that the device is properly or improperly connected to the battery. However, I wish this model would show the percentage of battery charge before and after the hook-up. This model only shows by color illumination (red/green) of the battery's state...no actual percentage value or numeric value of the battery charge amount. A set of instructions accompanies the device which explains how to tell when your battery is charged, etc.Depending on where your vehicle is parked, the cord length is key. If your vehicle is parked in your attached garage near an electric outlet, for the most part, you may not need an extension cord. I bought the Battery Tender's 12-foot extension cord for my outdoor set-up. I also recommend buying an extension cord box or reusing an old toolbox to protect the Battery Tender if you keep it outdoors. YMMV. Some people use an outdoor extension cord to keep the Tender inside the garage. Be careful with this...read the instructions.Overall, I give this product a 5-star rating. It works. It has a sturdy design. Easy to set-up. Comes with 2 types of connectors. So far for me, it has experienced no issues with moisture. Stands up to below 32 F degree temperatures. I do not know how it performs in summer temps. But, I suspect that it will do well.

Returned to our second residence after 6 months away to a dead battery in our newly purchased vehicle. Ugh! Yes, it was an oversight and a lesson learned. I was not even aware there was such a thing as a battery tender or "trickle charger", as this item is commonly referred to. Put in a little due diligence research on the product, studied the reviews and decided to purchase the one that seemed to be the most reasonably priced and had the highest rating. Super easy to set up--plugs into the garage wall socket and the other end is connected to the vehicle. The lighting system lets you know if you've hooked it up properly. Left the vehicle and flew across the country. Was gone for just over 6 mos. Returned and was pleased to see the red alarm light still lit on my vehicle. So far so good, I thought. Got in, pressed the ignition button and I'm pretty sure I shouted the word "YES!!!" when my vehicle started right up! No more dead batteries! If I could give this product 10 stars, I would. Works well and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Definitely a worthwhile investment if you have a vehicle that will be sitting, unlit, for over 6 months (or presumably more...). Much better then spending over $250 on a new battery. And then having to install it!

I bought this battery tender in Oct 2023 to keep the battery up in my Bullitt mustang that I rarely drive and it worked great. I would really recommend this for the amazing customer service. A few months ago a transformer on the power pole behind my garage malfunctioned and sent surges through my house and garage causing damage to a lot of things including my battery tender. I contacted the company just to ask if there was a fuse inside or parts I could buy to fix it before I bought a new one. Without even asking for it they began to process a warranty replacement for me. I didn't ask or expect this because it wasn't a problem with the charger it was fried by the power surges. A few days later I received a new charger under warranty. You don't find such great customer service anymore from a company. I highly recommend this product because it's rare you find a company that stands behind their products and have such great customer service.

i have a whole bunch of 1.2 amp battery tenders. and they work best really. best for battery health and keeping charged but never over charging, during winter. I got this 4amp one and yeah it works Faster. and its small. But it didn't really speed up truck battery charging really. I kinda wish i went with the 10amp or more version, for when i need a battery charged NOW in an emergency. even if a bit heat-dangerous to rapid charge at that power level.

I own five 1.25A Battery Tender Plus/s. They work!!! However, bought a new 2023 GMC Sierra Truck with an AGM battery. My current 1.25A charger/s could not keep up with all the parasitic loads on this vehicle. Talked w/Tech Support - Tim. He recommended at higher amperage unit. I settled on the 4.5A B.T. because of a good price on Amazon. IMPORTANT to follow the instructions when first setting-up. Just like all the other BT's I own, this one WORKS as claimed!! After about 4 hrs I had a GREEN LED. Reason I keep a BT on my truck is because it sits more than I drive it. With all the electronics and features of this truck this BT keeps the AGM battery fresh and prolongs it's life! Money well spent.

This product is great to keep batteries charged for storage, but will not charge a battery that is already dead. My car sat 3 months and was completely dead. The voltage was too low for this tender to even start charging. (Just blinked an error light even when left overnight) Had to use a different product to get the battery charged enough for this product to kick in. Have had it connected a few months now and car still starts every time.

Battery Tender is a wonderful product. I have 3 of them to keep batteries charged in a classic car, cars that don't get driven much, a lawn tractor, etc. The quality of Battery Tender is unmatched. When the time comes to purchase another, I won't even look at another brand.
