Cuts stainless like butter; however, I suspect those having issues are not 1) applying sufficient downward force, 2) are not using slow cutting speed, or 3) are not using a cutting fluid such as tap magic or equivalent. Fast rotation speeds, lack of cutting fluid, and insufficient downforce are guaranteed to wear almost any cutting / drilling bit out while simultaneously destroying it. Item is absolutely fabulous for the $20 asking price for the 4-piece set; well done!

Great set of bits can't beat the price

I needed a Particular set of washers that were 1/2 inch thick. These hole saws worked great I did however keep some oil on the site to keep from overheating since it was a whole half inch steel cut. Worked great!

Really nice and worth it. Arrived on time. Brand new as was advertised.

Came with a plastic storage box for each individual saw. Each box contained the saw, pilot drill, and an allen key. So, with 23 different saws you end up with 23 drill bits and allen keys. To keep from having to try and save the cardboard box they came in, I purchased an instrument style storage case large enough to fit all the individual plastic boxes in. The saws themselves are used in our welding/fabrication shop to cut holes in metal up to 3/8" thick. They're great!

The hole cutters themselves seem to be good and are holding up pretty well for the money, definitely not comparable to my high end cutters but at 1/10th the price I didn't expect them to. The starter drill bits though.... they are the biggest pieces of cr_p I have ever used. I wound up buying a bunch of bits from the local Ace True Value hardware store to replace them because the ones included break if you look at them the wrong way. I have been a fabricator for a looooong time and bought a LOT of drill bits and cutters in my time and have never run across a bit as cr_appy as the starter bits they use in this kit. I would give this kit a 4 star (exclusively of the low cost vs performance of the cutter) but the starter bit issue drags it down big time because of what a pain in the a-s it was (and added cost) to go buy a bunch of less cr_ppy bits to replace them.

Price wise, this is a very affordable hole saw. It's quality was surprising for the price! I tested it out on .060" thick 2024 aluminum plate, and it cut fine. I started by using the 6mm pilot drill installed, but because the drill was a bit undersized, it gets pushed to one side of the bore when you tighten the set screw. This caused the saw to wobble when i started cutting. This will definitely cause a problem if you are solely relying on the pilot drill to hold location when drilling freehand. Because i was using this in a drill press, I was able to remove the pilot drill and cut a really nice hole. It measured at 2.036" in diameter. I checked the cutter using digital caliper, and measured diameters across cutting face pairs, at 2.010" to 2.020". Not a precision cutter if you are looking for something to cut a perfect 2.00" hole (I didn't expect to at this price point). I have yet to use it on steel, but given that it cut pretty smoothly without any lubricant in 2024, I think it would cut mild steel pretty easily if used with a lubricant.
