Here's the deal. These systems work. They work reliably. They work great.Here's the catch: they're designed to work for phones. Plug in something else, and these cords will turn off.They work by monitoring the amount of current a battery is drawing. When the battery is low, it absorbs a lot more energy. As it fills, it absorbs less. For phone-sized batteries, this behavior has a very specific profile. But when you attach a much smaller battery, say the battery in my headphones, the cord mistakes it for a phone battery that must be nearing the end of it's charge, (because it isn't absorbing much energy), and the result is that it begins trickle charging and turns off in a matter of minutes.So use the cable with the right device, and it's awesome. It will save your batteries by making them last longer, and freeing you to think about the million other wonderful things in this world there are to think about. Use them with a device they aren't designed for, and they'll shut off and leave you high and dry. (For example, my aunt uses the lightening version of this cable to charge both her iphone and iPad. The key, is a battery with a big enough well to register correctly with this cord. iPads: Yes. Headphones: No.)Two Other Great Features:1) Brilliantly, data transfer does not shut off when the power charging does.2) The charging light is not obnoxious. I can't overstate this enough. Because they placed the light at the tip of the cable, it's mostly hidden by your phone's case. The light points down and doesn't shine in your face. The light is also red. Not blue or something that will keep you awake. It turns green as it nears 100%, and then shuts off to indicate it's job is done. As a bonus, this means you don't have to look at the charging light in the middle of the night.Great design. Great product.I highly recommend adding this product to your life. They are great.

Love that the cord lights up to show how it is charging. 1. Red while charging, 2. Blue when near complete charge, 3. Green when done charging. I tested the charge speed with a Samsung Galaxy 8+ and found it charged from 5% - 90% in less then an hour. The last 10% took another 45 min or so. Then the cord glowed green and phone was fully charged. Excellent quality build so far, and I love the 12 month replacement policy. I would buy again.

Would recommend to buy very good product

By controlling the charge rate and shutting off when fully charged, the battery life will be extended significantly. Also very convenient is the LED colors to show the status.

Excellent cables. A little pricey, but worth the cost. I replaced all my cables with these. Love them
