This machine is far better than it's competitor. It is slightly louder but everything else is great. It is sealed better, runs smoother, freezes better/faster and has a more user friendly manual. The ice cream is smooth and consistent. I use it for a small concession stand and it has kept up with demand and still looks brand new due to being built so well. This unit is also much more affordable.I also have a Donper D100 (essentially the same thing with slight differences). The Donper has been a HUGE pain including internal leaks, the motor freezing up/rusting and the handle having to be replaced 6 times in 4 months due to it breaking so easily. The Donper is not sealed well and will give you problems almost immediately.
