Bushel Basket Kit

Excellent basket kit, fast shipping. This was my very first basket, and even then was simple to put together. I do recommend marking the middle of each spoke so that it is easier to weave the base, after that the pattern is no problem. I did get overzealous with making the spokes straight on the sides, so my basket did end up a different shape and style than the kit photo. I'll include a picture so you can see. All in all great purchase, I recommend!

Instructions for this were better than other product by same company. However, received only about half of the amount of #5 reed necessary to complete the basket and had to order more. Very disappointing.

This was my first round reed basket. Everyone loves it. I can't wait to make more to give away for Christmas presents.

I’m giving this a 4/5 stars. I love the design but there were some inconsistencies in the basket design.This basket can not be 18x18 inches. I used all the #4 and #5 reed and ended up with this one around 16x14.I feel like the instructions were written for a basket with thinner spokes. It is near impossible to get the spokes down like in the picture for the border.It took both my husband and my strength together to get the #8 reed down for the border. The spokes definitely need to be thinner.Also, it says to build the base out to 10 inches and then put it in a pot to dry. Most big pots are 10 inches so I suggest making the base 9-9.5 inches so it’ll be a snug but easy fit.
