Für alle, die der englischen Sprache mächtig sind, sind die Bücher aus der "photographers guide" Reihe von countryman press i.d.R. ein bewährter Einstieg, um sich fotografisch auf ein Gebiet einzustimmen. Je nach Author sind es einmal die Bilder, ein anderes mal die Texte, die einem dabei ansprechender erscheinen. Bei diesem Buch ist es leider nichts von beidem.Die Bilder sind bestenfalls mittelmäßig, wenig inspirierend und teilweise auch einfach nur schlecht. Der Text dazu ist leider nicht viel besser. Von den 97 Seiten, die das Buch umfasst, widmen sich gerade mal etwas mehr als die Hälfte konkreten Fotoziele im Glacier National Park. Die andere Hälfte ist ein plappernder, wenig strukturierter Mix aus dem Versuch alle Grundlagen der Fotografie kurz anzusprechen und technisch teilweise noch aus der vor-digitalen Zeit so wie fast ohne jeden Bezug zum Glacier National Park.Wer sich über Fotoziele im Glacier National Park informieren möchte, der findet mit zehn Minuten googlen eindeutig die besseren Ergebnisse.,Schade um den Kauf.

Having planned to visit Glacier next year I purchased this book for inspiration, sadly however it did not live up to my expectation and many of the images were disappointing. I'm hoping the reality is better than depicted in this book.

For Glacier National Park, this book gives you all the information you need to find special locations in the Park for visiting and especially photographing this spectacular park.
