Great quality binder
If getting an Avery binder, definitely go with the "Durable" model over the "Economy" and the "Heavy Duty" - here's why:- The Economy use very flimsy cardboard and therefore the binders bend very easily. The material used to cover the binder is also thinner and tears easily. These binders are a total waste and I would not even use them for light use.- The Heavy Duty have what they call a one-touch EZD ring. This means instead of two tabs to open the rings - one at the top and one at the bottom - there is only one at the bottom and it actually opens very easily. So easily that with little use the rings will actually develop gaps. Gaps obviously continue to get worse over time, make it so difficult to turn pages, and also cause pages to come out and tear where the holes are. In addition, the rings don't open evenly which also contributes to the gaps. With a tab on only one end it will pull one side of the rings with more strength than it pulls the other side. I'm not a fan of the one-touch EZD ring for these reasons.- The Durable model - this model - is the one I prefer. For starters, the cardboard used is quite sturdy and will protect the contents stored in your binder.-- The cover material is of decent quality and it takes very heavy daily use, often over years to cause damage such as tears. Some of the Avery Durable binders I have are easily 8 years old - a few others lasted only 3 years. It just varies on your usage.-- The rings make a loud noise when opened and closed using the tabs - it is a very strong closure and they are very strong quality. In my experience they have not developed gaps in the rings, even when the binders are filled to capacity. Note that I only ever open/close the rings using both end tabs - I never pull or push on the rings themselves.-- The d-ring does have a bit more of a slant than I prefer, but that's about the only real down side here. The larger the binder, the bigger the ring slant.-- Binders have standard front and back pockets. They also have clear view pockets on front, back and spine.

D-ring essential for small binders
I occasionally need to professionally present documents... with relatively few pagesand that need to be kept by the customer. Round rings are awful for storage as they curlthe documents over time. This is excellent. Had to shop a bit more than usual to find the right price point... first timeI found these in a multi-pak was at Costco (no longer carries) and I'll never go back.

good for a (heavy duty) music stand
These lay flat, and work well with (heavy duty) music stands (not the flimsy ones that fold up.) The cover can also be double folded under the center part so it doesn't hang way over the left side of the stand. The binder rings work well - pages turn smoothly and securely. I use binder clips to secure these to the stands.

Durable and look nice
I use these to organize and protect collectible cards placed inside UltraPro 9-slot pages. They do exactly that - allow me to organize and protect them. They're durable, unless you step on them or place something heavy on them, but just don't do that. I've opened and closed the rings many times without any type of issue. The rings match up well and the pages don't get snagged when flipping through them.

QUALITY 3-ring binder.
Believe it or not, other places in the world have TWO-Ring binders. So, I had a few of these sent to MY location in Central- Europe. Top-of the line quality that accommodates my TRADING CARD sheets.Available in a number of thicknesses!

Probably best for low usage
I got two of these fro a project, and they worked really well. They're good for card holding, and I assume other things that don't require heavy ring use. They seem like the kind of rings that would eventually stop connecting after a lot of use, but that's just been my experience with binders like these. And for the price, it's something I can live with. The joint of the cover and spine seems pretty sturdy, but i'm sure over time that may wear down as well. But again, for the price, I can't complain.

Excellent product
The Avery slant ring binder is perfect for what I need. It has a pocket on the outside, and pockets on the inside. The slant ring makes the paper fit better, and it can be turned easier and does not get caught under the ring. Will be buying again if available.

Not as shown
I did not like the add where it shows them as recipe binders with really nice fronts and then I receive plain binders which I can get cheaper at staplesIt is misleading advertising
