Maybe the description should highlight what's different about these rod tips better. They are "tangle resistant" tips. Those who use the braided "super lines" know how bad those are about causing "wind knots" around a rod tip. It's especially bad if you're using small braid on a spinning rod. For solving that problem, these tips are the cat's meow. I've only begun to use them, but the difference is startling already. The line just doesn't foul around these so frequently like it does on conventional rod tips. I only recently learned about these rod tips for helping prevent wind knots, and rather than buying a bunch of expensive name brand ones, I looked for the cheap Chinese version, and here they are.I don't know what to think about those claiming they're too small. If your fishing rods are that huge, you really don't need tangle resistant tips to begin with. Look for conventional fishing rod tips. But regardless of what you get, you still need to measure to make sure you're getting the right size. Rod tips are usually sized in 64ths of an inch; these are sized in millimeters. There are plenty of converters online. Measure your rod tip and convert these metric sizes to make sure you're getting the right size.I put these on nine rods, five crappie rods and four finesse bass rods. The smallest size fit the crappie rods, and the next smallest size fit all but one of the bass rods. It took the fourth smallest size. And the line guide hole isn't too small or high above the rod for these sizes of rods; it's just about right.The other thing you need to know about these is that you need to thread wrap (or heat shrink) them, and not just glue. The "foot" is only attached to the braces, and not brazed at the end of the tube that slips on the rod first, so wrapping and coating is needed. Use them correctly, and they are really nice rod tips, at a much lower price than the name brand versions of tangle resistant tips.

This product is very well made, seems to be quality work. Has most common sizes needed for rod building or repair.

They are a good product. I dont break rod tips but i do get super good deals on rods that do have a broken tip. Good selection, this kit will cover everything from the lightest rods, (including fly rods), to the heavier downrigging and deep water rods. Never have to pay to have a guide fixed again

Most are too small for larger rods.

Got these to repair a couple of rod tips and took my caliper to the rod blanks before ordering. I knew the smaller sized tips wouldn’t be useful for me but the price was good enough that it was still worth it. Unfortunately the quality control was off and I couldn’t get my tips into what should be the right size tips. They look otherwise well made.One other oddity - I don’t know what size blank the smallest size could possibly fit, but the rop ring insert is the same size as the largest tip. Generally there’s some sort of scaling that happens with micro to moderate tip sizes.

hard to say how durable these tops will be but the product gives no reason to doubt they will be good. look very nice . very happy with the purchase
