24 Volt Transformer, C Wire Adapter Thermostat, Compatible with Conventional Thermostats and Doorbells Power Supply (23ft Cable)

This product has a long cord, which is very convenient in the kitchen or in the den when you want to battery up your phone.

I have an electric heater wired for heat only with only W and R (aka Rh) wires, a standard 24v thermostat and installed a Honeywell T5 smart thermostat. Note my power supply did not come with instructions, which might be forgiven in that by definition you bought this because you are jerryrigging your way around an odd set up, and it may be impossible to address all the possible installation options. But lots of guidance available on line.For mine, in the new thermostat I simply needed to remove/disable the jumper between R and Rc terminals, connect the power supply to the now stand alone Rc and C terminals. Perhaps I was lucky in my first choice, but polarity does not seem to matter here. Then connect the existing R and W wires to the new thermostat as labeled.Smart set up then was as advertised for the thermostat.

I bought this adapter to provide power to my thermastat. Overall it was easy to install. My only issue was with the connection to the R slot on the thermastat. Instructions said to connect the adapter to the R slot but I already had a line coming from the HVAC for the R slot. I tried connecting the adapter line to the RC slot instead and the thermastat worked without any issues.

I tried every possible combination of wires, this will not work with amazon thermostat because the RC jumper has to be in the up position

Just stop looking for any other adaptor! Seriously, if you got this far then youve made it to the bestest, easiest, quickest way of connecting your thermostat other than having an hvac cert guy come into your home and rob you blind of your money for the simple task of running a wire through your walls and floors. Don't do it, just buy this adapter trust me. If I felt like walking downstairs to take a picture of it I would add it to this review but I don't feel like it so your just gonna have to take my word for it. I might be lazy but I don't lie about it!!! Seriously it's exactly what you need. Peace out

Works, but the plastic box cracks open after one of use. Item is not good quality. Ring wall plug is better quality !

Does just what I needed. I was tired of charging my nest learning thermostat every 3 days since my furnace is so old it doesn't have a common wire. After hooking this up I've not had to give it a second thought. The cord is nice and long and it's been plugged in for months without any problem
