Best thing for diabetic wounds!
My dad is diabetic and he's on blood thinners and he does odd handyman jobs so he gets bumps and scrapes. He really seems to like getting them on his shins, which is a really hard place for a diabetic to heal when they've been diabetic for years (by the way, I TOTALLY recommend an electric foot massager to help with circulation, we got him one of Amazon for Father's Day and it has worked miracles for circulation in his feet). Anyway, sometimes these boo-boos will get infected. That used to mean a trip to the doctor to get an antibiotic. Since I have discovered these, we slap one on as soon as it looks even a little bit red and the longest I've had an infection last on his leg is 5 days. Yes, they're pricey, but they're way cheaper than a doctor visit and antibiotic! And it's healthier for him to heal on his own.

It's completely dried out.
This is the first time buying this. I buy products like this all the time but this one has no adhesive which means there wont be anything to absorb therefore its not worth the money value.. If this isn't normal please send new product since it says I can not return. It doesn't compare to other honey calcium alginate dressing.

A Solid Manuka Honey Wound Care Option
As a paraplegic, I periodically deal with wound care issues. I was anxious to try this 10-pack of 2"x2" Manuka Honey Adhesive Dressings as I've had some positive experiences with the use of Manuka Honey in helping to resolve chronic wound issues and am always looking for new dressing options. This product arrived as expected as a 10-pack of the 2"x2" dressings. The ad offers basic instructions for applying the wound dressings, though they may be confusing for those less familiar with wound care. I also find the directions regarding debridement a bit inadequate and best followed by healthcare professionals. However, I found the dressings pretty simple and straightforward to apply. Given that these are 2"x2", they aren't appropriate for larger wounds unless you plan to use more than one. They adhere to the wound fairly well. They do stick a bit when removing or changing the dressing. While the ad addresses this, it's still a bit concerning as that can cause undo trauma to the wound as it did just a little in my case.Manuka Honey is getting a stronger and stronger reputation for its wound healing properties. I did see some improvement, though not necessarily what I'd hoped for in terms of results. That said, I think there's quite a bit of promise here and I plan to continue using this box to see how it goes. The addition of calcium is also a plus here. This combination makes these dressings more of a premium item and I'm not sure I'd have tried them without knowing that I tend to respond well with Manuka Honey. While I'm a bit concerned about the possibility of the dressing sticking to the wound, overall I'm pleased with these wound care dressings as they do help to keep the wound moist and allow for more effective wound healing. The dressings are also antibacterial and they help to eliminate wound odors without actually masking odors. So, there's an awful lot to like here. However, it's worth noting that the ad also emphasizes these are ideal for clinical settings and given the instructions around debridement I would definitely agree that these are best used under medical supervision.
