Less expensive alternative
My 2006 Dakota would stop shifting after a few minutes of driving, but had no codes. Changed the fluid and it still happened, but now had the codes. The Dodge part is around $6oo, so at $150 this is a bargain. My truck shifts great again, however sometimes when slowing down there is a hard down shift. Didn't do that before this part was installed. It is not a big enough deal for me and may only be an issue with my truck. It has 165000 miles. Shipping was fast. Installation is not too difficult if you know how to turn some wrenches and don't mind swimming in transmission fluid.

The part I needed and fixed my issue
Item was exactly as described. Fit my vehicle like it should. Fixed my issue of transmission being stuck in 4th gear making my 06 commander 5.7l shift flawlessly like it should. Price is reasonable.

Didn't fix the problem.
Part appeared to be used. The gray connector on the truck side was stuck in the connector of the "new part" . The "new" part connector was full of dirt. I installed it out of being desperate and on the side of the road but it still says bad transmission range sensor. So is it the sensor or something else going on?? I'll never know now.

This will fit a 2004 ram 1500 2wd 5 speed trans
Worked great, youtube videos will help you diy. Pretty easy if you have at least a little knowledge of what a ratchet is used for.
