Steal of a backlight set up for the price!
Love this backlight for the price, works perfectly for our set up. Only feature I wish it had was the ability to emit some ambient light when the TV is off without having to manually switch modes with the app or press a physical button. Syncing with the screen is awesome, but it would be nice if whenever you turn the TV off it could automatically detect the HDMI signal drop and switch modes, and vice versa (e.g., when you turn on the TV it kicks in to sync mode). Perhaps something like this could be done via Alexa of Google? Right now, you can only turn the backlight on or off with Alexa or Google Assistant, as well as set the color and the brightness, but you can't switch modes via either integration. Maybe the simplest solution would be to add that feature to Alexa/Google Assistant. For example, with Govee lights you can not only turn things on and off as well as set brightness and colors, but you can also set scenes, etc., with those integrations. So in other words, maybe the functionality via smart home integrations needs to be beefed up a little with the same functions as the app (like switching to TV sync mode via Google Assistant etc) and then that would make this backlight PERFECT. Thanks!UPDATE: I figured out that you can use the Tap-to-Run feature to turn 'sync with screen' on or off. When you create a tap-to-run automation, it then creates a Scene in Google Assistant/Alexa, so as long as you have some way of triggering that Scene in either integration whenever your TV turns on or off, you can leave the light in a color mode and just have the Scene/Tap-to-Run do the work of automagically syncing with the TV.

Phillips ambilight who? I don’t know her, but I know this product.
The media could not be loaded. This is a great product for people who want to have Phillips Ambilight on a budget. This setup is different with a camera-based sync box because the colors are more accurate and it changes faster.A few pet peeves about this product is the color change is harsh/choppy. it does not blend or fade to the next color and going from bright to dark is very steppy because it doesn’t seamlessly follows the brightness. This review wouldve been a full 5 stars if it had itThe initial setup was fine, was lowkey a pain to setup. This product was used on a 50 inch tv and i folded the excess instead of cutting them. It stopped syncing the second day and the way to fix this is to switch input and tv 2 times until they’re back in its original placement. The app highkey sucks but it makes it more intuitive.Other sync boxes have arc issues and this certainly does not have this issue, and you would most likely not have any audio problemsI tries HDR 10+ at 4K 60hz and it works! no lies about product specs at all.Overall, get this product when it’s on sale because its an easy, cheap, wow factor in your home and it immerses you more into your content.Devs, if ur reading this, please make the colors blend together instead of immediately switching because this is very obvious during low/medium moving scenes.

A MUST-HAVE for TV junkies!
The media could not be loaded. This product is unbelievable! 🤩 The Magiacous TV LED Backlight creates a fantastic ambient lighting 💡 that expands your TV 📺 experience and makes your feel like you in a movie theater! 🎥 This is an absolute must-have for TV junkies - installation and setup is super easy 🛠️ and the instructions manual 📃 is very clear! Was able to connect it to my PlayStation 5 game console 🎮 this making it match the colors of any video game 📀 or movie. 🎬 The included mobile app📱 also allows you to control the colors 🌈 remotely, sync them with music 🎶, or connect the device to your smart voice interface 🔊 (Alexa or Google Home) to control with voice commands. 🗣️ Price 🏷️ is great for the value! Will definitely buy this to add to any TV own. I wish I got this earlier!

HDMI Sync does not even work
Set up was pretty easy but I spent the next 45 minutes trying to sync the lights to the TV. It says "easy" push of the mode button but it stays on this orange color as you can see from the photo. The app allows you to customize the lights but I want them to sync with what's on the TV not by audio. Not worth.

I really want to like it more
Set up was a little confusing when it got to connecting with the app. Once I got that figured out, it was good to go. The concept is great (having the LED mimic the screen colors), but ultimately it is too distracting. When there is a lot of color change onscreen, it was giving me a headache. Kind of strobe effect. Had to turn the dynamic changing off. The other effects are novel, but still distracting and the colors change too fast. I can only handle the static colors. It works fine, it’s just not for me.

Great until it wasn't
The setup was pretty easy and everything worked great as it should! Up until about 3 months in when it just stopped working. I've reached out to the seller 3 times with no response about a potential warranty and can't get a hold of anyone. There's got to be something better. Buyer beware, you may have to replace it only a couple months in.

Looks beautiful on smaller TV too.
I have a 43inch TV, smaller than the reccomended size but it still works and looks great. Just loop the corners of the strips, no need to cut, easy to install. Synced up with the playstation (PS5) and matches the screen color perfectly. Brings even more immersion to gaming.

Easy setup, decent app, vibrant, bright colours.
The media could not be loaded. Setup took about ten minutes. Even though I cleaned the back of my tv thoroughly, the cable management clips did not stick very well; the adhesive isn’t that great. You need to download the app to use it, but it automatically turn on to whatever setting you had on last. Very bright and vibrant colours that are pretty accurate. Very happy with this kit.

Fiddly to install, but very nice effect
So the 55"-65" model seems like it was made for the 55" TV as it leaves a fair bit of TV exposed on the edges, so at times the lights don't match up with the image in the corners. For the most part it's only noticeable in slow moving scenes. Also the LED's are controlled in groups of 3 instead of individually, so that greatly reduces the quality of the effect as well. Though again, you only notice this in slow moving scenes. You don't really need to use the app with these. Which is good because I found it pretty slow. The setup and everything was easy and fine, it was just slow. And having two separate boxes in the back connected by a strange USB cable was also quite weird. Not sure the benefit here, as it just made the installation harder.Overall I'm pretty happy. The colors are really nice and respond really quickly to the image on the screen. Support 4K and HDR. And go on and off automatically when there is no image.Things I would have liked to see:1. A single box to control everything2. The same cable to power everything, at least in a daisy chain or a splitter (one is USB C and the other a standard 12V)3. A long extension cable between the strip and the box. We use a receiver and all electricals are hidden away, and it would have been nice to hide these boxes in the same place and run fewer wires.

Love but complicated
This has changed my movie going experience. I love watching tv in my living room now! The adhesive is super strong as well as the braces for it. The lighting is super immersive! It was a tiny bit complicated to set up though that might have just been user error

Coolest item but usless App.
This set up real easy with out the app but the app itself is useless. I tried everything to connect to my phone but it would not work. It keeps asking for a QR code which is no where to be found. I would love to try the other features one day. :(

Received a broken light strip
The product seems fine, sync isn’t instant but close enough to make it seamless. The end of the first part of the light strip seems broken. It has to be immobilized perfectly for the connection to work so it’s kind of annoying. But it works I guess. Also, you can only have one input at a time so you have to switch inputs between your smart tv or PlayStation every time.
