Wolf Tooth Elliptical Mountain Bike Direct Mount Oval Chainrings for SRAM Cranks (30 Tooth, Drop-Stop A, PowerTrac, Boost, MTB)

This was exactly what I needed to take my climbing to the next level. I installed this on my ‘20 Specialized Fuse Comp 29er. I had recently upgraded the Groupset to an X0-1 kit I bought off EBay. The kit came with a 32T chainring and though the kit is great, that 32T on my already heavy Fuse was rough. I went with the Wolftooth oval because of the added efficiency for climbing. I am not disappointed, just did one of the most technical tracks around my area with the new ring and it is phenomenal! No slippage at all. I will say that when you get into your top 2-3 gears 36, 42, and 50T you can feel the oval change your pedal cadence. It’s like when you stand up and are really pedaling hard you have an irregular cadence because your slamming your fit down to power yourself up the hill, like that except your sitting and not working so hard. As you go down the cassette you don’t notice it anymore and it doesn’t bother me one bit. It’s made climbing so much easier.

It is amazing how much this oval chain ring helps you climb. It also works well while in the lower gears. You can't tell it's there.

I got the 30 tooth on my yeti sb6 and like it a lot. The added low hill climbing gear is a welcome asset to the pnw riding that I do.

Very easy to install with minimal tools. Performs as expected and it doesn't feel any different while pedaling over a standard chainring. It does help with climbing which is why I purchased this in the first place. Would definitely buy again!

I knew from my first ride this was amazing! I went from a 32t that came with my bike to the 30t Wolftooth and won’t go back.

The 30t is a great chainring and I love it for super steep climbs and would definitely put onthe 30t if going to Moab. For most riding the 34t is plenty and I find I shift far less riding the 34t.
