Got this as a funny gag gift for my boyfriend. He loves it and honestly i love it too, looks very nice and classy. Also very functional. Gave us a great memory

Yes, I read the size in the description, but I wasn't prepared for how heavy this would be. So it went back into its beautiful gift box for me to give to someone else.

My daughter picked this pipe for her dad as a gift. The kids are excited to give it to him in 2 days and he has always wanted a pipe. She picked this one because she says it is a hobbit pipe. It's beautiful and has a nice feel. The price was wonderful.

Well, I received this pipe, and immediately I can agree with other reviewers, I wouldn't recommend this pipe. The inside of the bowl is lacquered, and painted over with this black paint crap. The tobacco catcher is silver painted plastic, and even that is low quality as one of the holes was closed from poor injection moulding. I had to spend an hour sanding off the crap lacquer on the outside and inside, because I refuse to smoke black paint and red lacquer. Once I had sanded off all the crap the manufacturer had added, and removed the poor quality plastic tobacco catcher, I can say it smoked well, but only after I'd put in an hour of work. So in summary: costs $15, is made of a soft wood (gets hot quick), takes $12 worth of time to make even usable. I would have been better off just ordering a $30 pipe with a quality stem and connector, honestly. The only positives are the packing tool is of good quality, and the pipe bowl is wood under all the crappy paint and lacquer.

The bowl is good quality bqood and has a nice varnish and the pipe smokes very well, should however be mentioned that the stem is NOT wooden as pictured and the description bdoea not make this clear... Also the cleaning tool is cheap and junky, overall for 16$ not a bad value
