Great motor but know what you're getting.
This motor is much stronger than it's 4W counterpart. This motor runs VERY hot. It's supposed to. That's how synchronous motors operate. Do not be alarmed that you cannot touch it for an extended period of time (3-5 seconds). Plan ahead for this. Don't let wiring rest against the motor housing or anything that can be damaged by the heat. The temp calculation gets a bit tricky, but if it's 75* in your shop then the motor will have a <60*K temperature rise. That equates to about 180*F. If it's 100* F, than the motor will be around 205* F.The BIG trade-off on these motors vs a worm-gear is the noise level. Synchronous motors are dang near silent while a worm-gear motor you will certainly hear.. Just make sure the torque is applicable for your application. This specific motor has approx 8 kg.cm or 0.78NM. The lower the RPM, the more torque. The higher RPM the less you'll have (see photo attached).I'll update later if I have any issues with this motor but after running 48 hours straight, so far no issue in my application that did not work with the 4W (which has 3 kg.cm).If you need even more torque, pick up a 60KTYZ but they are difficult to find in the US.

Great!
I bought this for a home made drum dryer for my fishing rod building and it performs flawlessly.

Works well but the speed was faster than specified
I bought this for an "invention" that I go into describing. This motor had plenty of power for my light weight application. I knocked off one star because it completes a revolution in 45 seconds instead of 60 seconds as a 1 RPM motor would. It might be for the better in my application but it would be an issue for someone counting on the speed being precise.

10/10!
The media could not be loaded. Used to repair a really cool, vintage rotating Christmas light. Worked perfectly! Exactly the right speed. Wired in easily.

Replacement for overpriced Marvy motors
I selected this as a lower-cost and hopefully more reliable replacement for a Type B Marvy barber pole motor. Obviously had to adapt to the existing mounting plate but not complicated. Wired up easy. We'll see how long it lasts. Saved >$85 over factory replacement.

Excellent Trash Can Weight
Bought it to simply rotate a Christmas display I was making. Very low torque and every time it would get too much resistance it would switch motor directions. Don't recall reading about that little quirk. I was in retail for a long time and would never carry anything in my store that was inferior quality or didn't work, but it seem like "buyer beware" is more the philosophy today

Not really 1 rpm
The speed is much faster than 1 rpm. More like 1 rotation every 45 seconds. It was nice and quiet though. Too fast for my application. I had to return it.
