Genuine Beam Rugmaster Plus Central Vacuum Tool Set 30' Hose

Highest quality, tho not cheap. Excellent customer service/response when I had a question.

The suction on this machine is fantastic, but there is absolutely nothing on it (nor was there on the packaging) indicating that it is indeed a Beam product. The plastic on the main unit looks cheap. The Beam Rugmaster Plus I was replacing never kinked, but this hose has kinked several times already. The seller did not include ANY manual or paperwork in the box, nor was a "cord management system" included. When I called the seller about the fact that the cord was dangling and making vacuuming difficult, the seller requested a picture and then promptly mailed a "cord management system" -- which meant three cheap plastic clips and no instructions on how to use them. The sellers were friendly when I called with issues, but I feel a bit swindled as I HIGHLY doubt this is truly a Beam product, and for $430, I had hoped for authenticity. I've used the vacuum several times and have my fingers crossed that it will last several years.

I wanted to take a moment and give back to this process of reviewing items. It is a wonterful tool for choosing the right product for a consumer and I use it regularly.With that said, the Beam Rugmaster is the most powerful vacuum I have ever used. I had a Dyson that did not have the suction and pickup ability that this motorized unit has. I find myself saying to myself evertime I brinig it out, "awwwwesoooome!" in a sing-sony kind of way.Granted, the vacuum installation in the home is a big factor to suction and power, but the Rugmaster motorized unit is very powerful. It has two settings, one for bare floors and one for carpet. The hose plugs into the wall outlet leading to the central unit with the electric connection included. no need for an additional power cord to operate the moter. Just note on your central system if there is a 2-prong electrical connection just above where the hose attaches. If not, you will need to purchase on with an external power cord.hope this review helps, and happy shopping!

What more can you say about Beam! Great long lasting products which function as intended. Love the new retractable and adjustable length metal tube vs. the two piece fixed length tubes. The dark color nozzles don't show rub and scratch marks like the beige ones. Rugmaster Plus has more metal that my original plastic stuff which held up pretty well (13 years) until the switch failed. Could have fixed it but figure I got my money's worth already and opted to buy the new kit. Got this one with free shipping for much less that going to a local Beam dealer. The seller was very helpful when I needed assurance in comparing the inlet box end of the house fittings to the new hose to insure new kit would fit; this was done via e-mailed photos. Great experience, highly recommend.

Spending the extra on name brand was worth it, everything is solid and durable. My experience with cheap ones was that the hose collapes easily and plugs more often. This one has a stainless steel head which will last forever. The off brand plastic cheap ones break with any abuse or accidental drops. This is my 3rd set for this vacumn. I knew the stainless steel would be better because I have it at my second home where I cleaned while building it.... nails, staples, drywall you name it, I tried to vacumn it. I wouldn't recomment this type of abuse but after all of that I still have a great vacumn, and haven't had to replace that head. I did have a small nail and a staple pierce the hose, but it sealed its self after removal.

Power head is great. The wall plug in just barely fits. This is quite a bit different from my prior hose. My old hose was just fine so I'm using that with the new power head.

I recently installed plush carpet and this has no height adjustments and won't move across the carpet with the beater brush on. I can only pull it across the carpet in hardwood floors mode, which only cleans the surface. For $499.00, get a Dyson. Not only does it have height adjustments, but you don't have to fight that anaconda hose.

My old powerhead and hose caught on fire (Offbrand one, not a beam). This is one is like my original one that lasted 7 years.
