Meh
This camera worked very well for a month. Then some issues came up with it.I will talk about the good things first. The front camera video quality is very good, especially at night, due to the Sony Exmor sensor. I have nothing bad to say about the front camera video, sound, and quality. Excellent! The cable for the rear video camera was more than long enough, and I have a very long car. It is 17 feet from nose to tail. The route the cable had to take to the rear camera was about 10 feet. The power cable is quite long as well, That run was about 10 feet as well down to the A-pillar, down and behind the glove box to the center console, coming out from behind the ashtray so it can plug into the phone charger. The camera mounts come with 3M VHB double sided adhesive tape. Good stuff.BAD:There are several things that irk me about this camera and make me regret my purchase. Unfortunately, the majority of these issues arose until after my return period expired three weeks ago.The rear camera looks like it has a resolution from the 1980s. I was expecting at least 720p. It is probably 320p or maybe even 420p. It's very bad and blurry. Yes, I did remove the protective film from the camera lens. Also the video is a horizontally mirrored recording, which is probably because it has a feature for using it as a back up camera. The wires for the back up function are too short if you want the camera inside the car, mounted to the top of the rear windshield, like I have it. And probably still too short if you want to put it on your trunk, outside the car, above your license plate, which is what the manual suggests. I didn't use them and wasn't planning on hooking those wires up for the backup camera function. I just wanted it to record video to the rear of the car. With that said, in my opinion, the screen is too small to safely use as a backup camera, especially if you have the camera mounted up high on the windshield for optimal forward viewing.I have heard that the camera works with a 32GB SD card, but I wanted to try a 128GB card, so I bought one from Microcenter, and it does not work. It gives a memory fault. It's not a problem, just something to note. I was planning on buying a 32GB card for it, but at this point, I am now looking for another camera. The mount that sticks to the windshield is not that great, and often times I will find that the only thing keeping the camera in its place is the plugs to power and the rear camera. The front camera lens was tight and did not move very easily when I first got it. But it has since loosened and bounces around when driving down a relatively smooth road. The slightest bump that you feel, you'd expect that the camera lens should not move, but it does, and it does it a lot.The G sensor is too sensitive, even on the lowest setting. It is constantly locking video files, which fills up the included 16GB SD card very quickly, to the point where the entire card is nothing but locked files, and then it will not even record because the card is full. Turning it off would be a waste of a feature, as it is supposed to record if the car is hit while parked. If you take the camera out of the car so it wont get stolen overnight, you cannot turn it off. It automatically comes on and locks the current recording, making it unnecessarily reserve that video and taking up space.I have tried every option of clip length and it never records the full-length clip. The vast majority of the video clips were 6-20 seconds long, regardless of the clip length setting. Sometimes I could get longer clips of 1 minute, maybe a minute and a half. Over the two months I've had it, the two longest clips I've had were about 3 and a half minutes when the clip length was set to 10 minutes for the past month. When one clip ends, there is about a 5-second delay when the next clip starts recording. At 65 mph, you can travel about 476.7 feet in 5 seconds. A lot can happen in that time and distance, especially if it is recording a new clip every 6-20 seconds most of the time.Even when the camera is not full, sometimes it just stops recording. I've only had one close call with someone almost hitting me, and the camera wasn't even recording during that time. Because of this, I can no longer trust the camera to function properly when I need it. As I said before, I am searching for another camera system to replace it, simply because of this problem alone. I do not plan on selling the camera, as I do not want to pass the camera on to someone else when it functions in this manner. Conclusion:I didn't expect this camera to be the best thing out there, considering it was an affordable, low priced, non-name brand product. It did have a lot of good reviews and that drove me to purchase it. I really wanted to like this camera, but it failed to meet my low expectations. I never imagined for this camera system to have all these deal-killing issues.I do not recommend purchasing this camera.

Good Dashcam with some caveats
Good dashcam with wide angles and simple installation. Night recording quality has been very good for both the front and the back. The cables are long enough for a compact car installation. If you have a larger SUV, the cables might not be long enough. There is one issue with cars that have the ability to play audio through USB connections. If you plug the Acumen in, it will think that you have plugged it into a computer and asks you if you want to access the Acumen as a hard drive. If you don't answer, it will turn itself off. Plugging the Acumen into a cigarette adapter solves this problem. Another issue I'm encountering is a random power down while driving. I've just contacted the seller to see if this is fixable or needs to be replaced.

Troublefree install
I have only installed the camera without the rear camera. It was easy and straight forward. In looking at the videos it has been capturing the HD quality is good. I can read the license plate of cars in front of me.After having some guy hit my car and run off, I wanted something that I could use to capture anything like it in the future.

I bought this product because my friend recommended it to me
I bought this product because my friend recommended it to me. I would always complain how there are crazy drivers out there who almost crash into my car so he told me that this would be perfect for me. I received it about 2 weeks ago and I have it set up in my car. It has been working well! The cameras are clear and the best part is that I can use it as a back-up camera since I don't have that kind of feature in my car. I also love driving with scenery and I can't wait for all the beautiful nature that I can capture next week when I go camping!

Great camera set at an excellent price.
This is a very affordable camera set which delivers a high quality picture. The forward facing camera is low profile and the mounting tape that came with it has held up very well in both hot and cold ambient temperatures. The rear camera is compact and came with sufficient cord to mount just inside the rear window of my Tundra Crew Max and power it off the fuse panel in the driver's side footwell, while allowing enough cable to connect it to the front camera. I hard wired both cameras for power, so was able to achieve a low profile install. Overall I am very pleased and set up was extremely easy.

Not worth your energy, time, or money
Listing indicated it needed an SD card...what they meant was it needed a MICRO SD card...just a tad different...spent the $15 for an SD card off amazon...now what do I do with it? Return it? no, gave it away, useless......directions are lousy......quality of night video is worthless...just had a driver pass me on the shoulder of the road at about 140mph. I told the highway patrol I would get them the footage...I reviewed the footage and could hardly tell what kind of vehicle whizzed by me let alone the vehicles plate....one month in and the internal battery will no longer hold a charge....this thing is a cheap made in china waste of your money.

Nut Case Bites The Dust
I've owned this cam since 8/2017 and has been in use since. Last week I became involved with a road rage nut case. I gave the video to the police. Two days later they contacted me with news they nailed him. The money I spent was well worth the cost of tracking and nailing that nut case. He was recorded by both cameras coming and going. I kept my cool knowing I had a video for backup.

Awesome Dash Cam
Great clear video quality! this unit is much smaller than I expected from the photos. I did not want the rear camera to look like an add on to my vehicle, so i tried installing it in the rear window with the double sided tape included and the video looks great! my favorite part is the motion sensor when the vehicle is parked. it catches all movements. The cords for both cameras are plenty.to route it. I recommend this dash cam!
