Crazy indicator logic. What engineer designed this one… Works OK though…
Not sure what engineer designed this timer switch. The LED indicator logic seem totally backward to me, but then different cultures (China???) have different logical thought processes I guess. This timer has one button for each time period you want the light or fan to be turned on for and one larger button for ON/OFF or Override.Ok, here’s what I think is totally backwards logic for the LED indicators. When the light or fan is off, the timer and larger button blue LED indicators are illuminated. Selecting for instance the 10 minute push-button lights the blue LED indicator. Near the end of the 10 minutes the LED begins to flash and instead of going out (dark) at the end of the time sequence it stays lit and the blue LED on the large ON/OFF button lites up (Illuminates). So when no light or fan is operating both the timer push button and the larger On/Off push-button LED are lit (Illuminated). Nothing is operating and yet the LEDs are lit up. When you press one of the timer push buttons again that LED stays on (no change) and the LED on the larger ON/OFF push button goes dark (not illuminated) to supposedly let you know that the light is on or fan is running (backwards logic). Only indications when the time sequence ends is that the LED on the larger button will then light back up (illuminated).I would have thought that a better, more logical, function for the LED would be for all LED to be dark (not illuminated) when nothing is being operated. No fan on or no light on. Then when you pressed one of the time buttons the LED would come on solid until just before the sequence finishes and then flash for a few seconds before extinguishing and turning the appliance off. Better used of the master ON/OFF larger button would have been, press once for ON with LED illuminated and once for OFF, with LED extinguished. Then the time would run for whichever timer button was pressed or default to the last one pressed. This timer does have a master override to keep the fan or light on indefinitely. Pressing the larger ON/OFF button and holding for three seconds turns on the device and keeps it on continuously until you press any button or the master ON/OFF button again. The screwy logic is that when the timer is on in continuous mode ALL LEDs are extinguished (Off - Not Illuminated). Circuit ON = NO LED’s Lit (Dark). Does that seem like proper logic to you? We are all used to having some sort of indication when our equipment or appliance is being operated. When you press a button on your blender or microwave or in the car the LED typically turns on to show the function is working. In this case the LED indicator ON (Illuminated) means equipment is not being operated and when the equipment is being operated the timer LED indicator doesn’t change it’s state at all and the larger On/Off button indicator goes dark (Not Illuminated) until the timer runs down and then it turn back ON (Illuminated). Crazy. I’ll get used to it, but will never understand what the engineer of this timer switch was thinking when he designed this control logic chip.

Good timer
Very easy to install. Black goes to hot, white goes to device (fan/light) and red goes to neutral.Blue light serves as night light, which is not okay (though some people complain as too bright) for me.Good for young adult use as on button was small and was next to several time buttons.I bought too early and was pleased with it until wife and kids kept changing timer buttons selected.A better design is Enerlite which has a LARGE on button at the bottom and smaller time buttons on top.It would be more senior and kid friendly (and perhaps me too).It is $5 more expensive though. For the price it is very GOOD comparing to other manufacturers I've use.Wires were aluminum as someone else review noted. I don't know if it would make long term difference as compared to copper wires.

Oddly, took time to work after install
Didn't work right away. I left alone for a few days, thinking I would have to troubleshoot the fan. But when I came back to it a few days later, blue light was on and it works perfectly.

Just what I wanted to control our bathroom fan
Sometimes folks in our house forget to turn the bathroom fan off after a shower so conditioned air is getting wasted and blown outside.I wanted a timer with a one hour max setting and based on reviews I thought I’d give this switch a try.So far this timer works just as expected to control our bathroom fan to remove moisture after a shower. We currently have it set at 30 minutes which is long enough.Installation is typical for this type of timer switch. I liked that there are leads for all connections (neutral, live, load, ground). Some of these types of timers don’t have a ground wire. I thought the leads were a bit long so I trimmed them before connecting to the corresponding house wires with the included wire nuts.I thought the buttons were intuitive. Press a corresponding time to turn the switch fan on for the selected time.Unlike others, I don’t find the blue led lights to be too bright. I hope I don’t run into long term issues with the buttons getting loose or falling off. I’ll update this review if I run into any issues.

Very nice timer, but maybe not for high use area
Update: this ended up with a short after 3 three years. Perhaps it does not do well in a heavily used environment. I replaced it with a simple turn the knob/dial countdown timer. Not as slick, but those last for ages. Now, the previous review: A friend had something similar in her home, and I could not find anything with as low as a one minute option and then a five minute option in any hardware store in my area (and, we have access to every hardware/building chain you can imagine). This is important to me, as my fan and a secondary light are linked together. So, I don't want it to stay on for too long if it isn't necessary..At the hardware stores, all I could find was a low of 10 minutes. We have dial timers in all of our other bathrooms, but I wanted something nicer for our guest bath. Thank you Amazon! Or, whomever is the vendor for this item!!! The one minute and on/off buttons stay lit, so when you walk into the dark bathroom, you can make an easy selection. I did, however, have to have it installed by an electrician, as there were too many wires in the box for me to figure out which could be pigtailed as the neutral. I have been able to do it before, but this bathroom's wires threw me for a loop. This switch has four wires (including the ground).

works great so far
Hooked it up for the bathroom fans in the house, so they can be put on after a smelly and automatically turn off a time later after the culprit has left. They were replacing a set of Levethon timers that didn't work well and ended up just buzzing rather than working. Will have to see how these stand up to the test of time.Easy to install. comes with all the parts needed to hook up. Screws, mar connectors. Simple to align the white, black, ground and hook the red line to the line that the fan is on.

working backwards??
Nice switch, easy to install, good concept but......Why when the OFF is held to turn off timer the fan is ON???When the OFF button is push it turns off the fan but the Lights are ON??? and stay on!!!waste, waste, waste, lights up the hallway at night. It should be OFF with the lights when the fan I control is OFF!It should ONLY be on when I push a timer or ON to turn the fan ON and then turn OFF the lights when finished. Not well designed, unless there is something obvious I did wrong?

Good value and works perfectly.
This device installed easily if you understand the basics of electrical wiring in your home. It works exactly as described and now ru s my washroom fan that the family always used to forget to turn off. Problem solved. The only drawback was that it didn’t fit perfectly flush to the cover at first but after a tiny manipulation of the fastening flange it looks great!

Easy to install and does what it is supposed to
I bought this to replace an old timer for the bathroom fan. Easy to install and does what it is supposed to.Each button has a blue light. I find it weird that when the switch is off, the on/off light is active and the last timer used is also active. When the switch is on, the on/off light goes off. It can be confusing at first. From time to time, when it goes to off, a separate light that is on the same breaker flashes. I checked the wiring and everything seems fine. It's an LED light on a dimmer. Maybe not the timer's fault but strange.

Works great and cheaper than timer switches that are less convenient ...
Works great and cheaper than timer switches that are less convenient to use. Was easy to install. However, the white plastic doesn’t match standard white switches and cover plates, so it looks a little different. Otherwise, a good item. I would buy this again over other timer switches we have used.
