This is the 5th or 6th summer activity book I have purchased in the last ten years, and it is by far the best one. In addition to the expected academic exercises for reading, writing and math, the book also includes daily and weekly challenges for a well-rounded summer. For example, users are guided to create exercise goals with a broad list of suggestions from which to select that go well beyond running for a specified period of time or swimming xx laps. Other activities touch on nutrition, preparing meals and creativity in art and music. My rising 6th grade daughter loves this book so much she stays up late just to do a few more pages.

Love that is has fitness as a "subject
Daughter is going into 7th grade. Has some review of 6th and gets harder as you move through the book. Love that is has fitness as a "subject." Also lets you set a contract up for to have a reward after a certain amount of the book is done.

Manageable and Fun!
We have used these books almost every summer since their release! I love these because they are fun, well rounded, and include values! I don't have to push for the kids to do these, rather I have to limit how much they do per day so they don't finish too soon! A great problem to have!I'm a certified AZ teacher and would recommend them to my students as well. Keep those skills fresh! In addition, there are flash cards to pull out in back too. What a nice addition.
