We are dryer ball veterans and have used them for years. Eventually they need to be replaced, thats how we ended up here. They work extremely well and we are pleased with the product. They have a soft core making them lighter overall so there are no additional noisy sounds going on during the dry cycle. They help to fluff clothes and prevent wrinkles while drying faster. This is where people are incorrectly using them and complaining about static. Static is caused by over drying, the dry fabrics rubbing against each other while heat is being applied will make static issues even worse. These dryer balls help the clothes to dry faster therefore you need to adjust your dry cycle so it’s SHORTER too and possibly use a lower temp. You want the dryer to stop when articles are just dry, not fully dried and still tumbling around another 20 minutes. This applies to all loads of laundry. There is a learning curve to this but it’s not difficult. Once you figure that out, not only will static not be an issue but you will be shaving time off chores as well as gas or electric usage too. We live in the Northeast with brutally cold winters and even then, static is not an issue.

Love these as a more sustainable option to dryer sheets or fabric softener. They do seem to reduce drying time significantly (also better for the environment), knocking at least 10-20min off the drying time, if not more. (I’m still experimenting.) The physical ball in the load also keeps things from getting knotted or stuck, thereby eliminating wet spots on fitted sheets, long cardigans and sleeves, and everything comes out soft with fewer wrinkles and no static. I’ve been a big fan. No more messy fabric softener and these work better than dryer sheets. Each ball lasts for a long time, too.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with these. They absolutely dry my clothes faster than usual. With a few exceptions with certain fabrics, they eliminate static well. No crunchy fabric. Also, I own A LOT of merino wool and you’re not supposed to use fabric softener on them so this solved that issue for me. However, I’ve found that I need to wash all my dark wool pieces (which is pretty much all of them) inside out because tiny threads of wool end up on them. Not really noticeable until I step outside in natural light. I have read how I can attempt to fix that (washing the balls in hot water), but they caused that issue right out of the box. Overall, though, it’s a small price to pay to save on dryer sheets, save drying time and therefore electricity, and handle all my wool base layers.

These dryer balls are just the right weight so they don’t make too much noise yet they fluff towels perfectly. And they don’t shed fuzz.

Overall I am very happy with the quality of these. Was a little hesitant because they were one of the cheaper ones but they have lasted well and have been using for a little over a month now.

I've used wool dryer balls for years, and usually do laundry at public machines. I bought these to replace a set that someone took. I've been using them for 2 years now, and I'm finding that they don't eliminate static like the other balls I've used. They're fluffier, but clothes come out of the dryer linty and staticky.
