CAF16 Foam Windscreen Microphone Cover for Shotgun and Video Camera Microphones up to 6.25 in/16cm in Length

This is the second Audio CAF16 windscreen I purchased. I am buying it as a spare. I am happy with the product. The price is right, and it fits my Sennheiser microphone. It also does not protrude to the point that it shows up in wide shots. It is very effective in cutting down on noise from the wind, with what seems like minimal loss. My experience with windscreens in the field is that they will come off, and will never be found. Hence a spare in my camera bag.

The MKE-300 replacement windscreen arrived on time and fit perfectly. It’s 0.5” to 0.75” thicker than the OEM windscreen which may provide a bit more wind attenuation vs. the OEM windscreen but also makes it more difficult to fit in the storage bag that came with the Microphone.

Although I wish my fancy one with Sennheiser on it hadn't crumbled, this replacement screen for my venerable MKE300 shotgun mic has worked well. It does the job and the sound captured by the mic is still excellent.

Probably about 50% thicker (it looks HUGE on it in comparison) than the foam that came with my Sony mic, but fits perfectly. Just snug enough that it's not going to slip off, not so snug that I'm going to tear it in half trying to pull it off, and covers everything it needs to.

Need it to reduce wind in my recordings, the only little con, it is to bulky

This was a good fit for Rode NTG-2. I actually bought it to cut down and fit Oktava MK-10 mic, a much shorter mic and this works well also.

I ordered this windscreen for an older Sennheiser ME 80 microphone (shotgun) that came out of a 25 years retirement. 16 cm is the perfect size for it.
