Great sticks
I've been using 747s for decades. I bought these to keep in honor of Neil Peart. While the sticks are excellent, the print on them is awful. Almost all of them have defective/missing ink.If you plan to use them, they are great. If you plan to keep them, they are low quality.

Significantly smaller than other 7an sticks
I just purchased these out of curiosity.Though advertised as being exceptionally durable, they didn't last. 1 broke within 3 or 4 sessions and though I admittedly am hard on sticks, my usual hickory Vic Firth are still going. They were also much skinnier than other 7an sticks I've purchased. Comparing them to my other 7an sticks, there is a dramatic difference. They are nice and heavy but like I said...1 broke pretty much before I even got to break them in.... Oh well, maybe I just got 'lucky' with these....

The sticks I've always used.
Recently I tried out a lot of different drum sticks to see what I like best, and I keep going back to these. I started using them because I'm a Neil Peart fan, but these are the sticks IIike best. They have the balance I'm looking for, and the oak is longer lasting than a hickey. Sticks are very subjective, but these are always quality, and they are the sticks for me.

Great drum set sticks
At first I wasn't a fan as I was just using them on the practice pad. Didn't sound great compared to my ProMark 5B's I usually use, and felt odd as they are longer and thinner. However, tried them on the kit and these are my new favorites! Love the slightly extra length. Great for rock, pop, even jazz. Durability is amazing, been using them a month and no chips in the tips at all. I used to use nylon tips on my kit but really like the sound of these wood tips and the durability has me sold. Unfortunately they won't make you play like Neil Peart, but this is a great, all purpose, versatile stick for the kit that holds up extremely well.

Well made, well balanced
I bought these sticks and a decent drum practice pad to learn a little basic drum and keep myself engaged while waiting for my Covid shots. I have nothing to compare these sticks with and no drumstick experience whatsoever. A little research indicates these are a good standard and I've had no problems. They're well balanced and well made, that much I do know from use, and they fit my hand well and bounce the way they're supposed to. Very satisfied.

Great sound and feel, good durability
My son is a drummer. He plays kit for a jazz band, his high school pep band, is in an outside rock band as well as a percussionist in his high school band as well as giving drum lessons on the side. I had bought him a few pairs of white oak sticks from another manufacturer, when he requested these. He loves the feel and the sound of them, but what has really impressed him is the durability of these sticks. With standard sticks he goes through about 1-2 pairs a month. He said that these chip but don't crack which leads to better sound and feel on the stick. They are a few pennies more, but this is truly a case of you get what you pay for.

Has anyone noticed quality issue with Promark sticks?
For decades (>3) I have used Promark drum sticks. Always my first choice.I ordered a couple pairs from Amazon and I noticed the nylon tips have sharp seams on them.In the past, they have always been completely smooth.Current sticks had a parallel line or seam on the nylon tip from top to bottom. This ridge feels kind of sharp (very thin). It is pronounced enough that I wonder if it could cause more wear on drum head if it strikes on that ridge.Has anyone else noticed this? I hope it is just a fluke.Sticks with wood beads are fine.

RIP the legend Neil Peart
Been using these Promark 747 Neil Peart signature sticks for almost a decade. They’re a little longer than traditional 7a and heavier because they are oak. They have amazing precision and you could get killer attack. My only con is the tip. I usually don’t break sticks, (Probably only broke these sticks 5 times tops in 9 years) But I have so many of these sticks with split tips that I stop using, so that’s a waste
