A special Japanese Saw
I've tried quite a few Japanese pulling saws, and this one does indeed save as much effort as it describes, and I'm exploring why this structure saves more effort. Unlike the traditional Ryoba Saw, who only has one side for cutting and can't achieve both horizontal and vertical cuts, I tried cutting hardwood and it worked perfectly! I just tried flush cut once and the result satisfied me.If you are a professional Japanesesaw enthusiast, then I would suggest you to choose Ryoba Saw, which will take better cuts for different woods. But this saw would make me enjoy woodworking more, cutting is really easier and I'm sure everyone wouldn't mind having one of these in their toolbox, you may not know when you'll need it.You will definitely be useful when you need it, highly recommended!Especially at this price!

A little flimsy but effective
This wouldn't cut a straight line through dry hardwood like in the picture. BUT I've loved it so far for hacking up fallen limbs and trimming my bushes and such. One swipe and it will cut through a branch about 1/4-1/2". On very dry wood or when trying to be precise though, it's a bit too flimsy to be controlled and the teeth want to get caught. The flimsyness also means the blade gets pinched a lot. I've only been using it for a couple of weeks so I know it's not related to the sharpness. But hey, it's only $15! Definitely think it was worth that price. We'll definitely be keeping it around the garden and on camping trips!

Only evaluating vendor
Amazon asks for reviews of products the day of or shortly thereafter you receive them. Therefore, without having a chance to use the item, I can only say that the vendor was prompt and the item at first glance looks to be as described.

Very Sharp. Time saver.
I have a couple of hand saws that are made in Japan and they are very good. This one surpasses the other saws. I am 76 yrs old and have arthritis too so this saw helps me a lot because it hardly takes any strength or effort. It is extremely sharp and it fold down neatly into its handle. This is one saw everyone should keep. It is a real time saver.

Great tool
Good product, I use the when making hand made chains out of limbs found in the park on the ground. Does a very good job shaving down the limb.

Great bang for the buck
I got the smaller one and the larger one as well, the larger one came with a separate and higher quality metal knurled thumb screw to replace the basic plastic one. Was disappointed that this unit did not come with one as well, hoping the seller will see this and be able to hook me up with one.

Hand saw 6 inch
Hmmm 🤔 not bad ! But could do with a bit more improvement with the cutting teeth?Like for example they are not necessarily RAZOR 🪒 Sharp! And a little bit slow with the cutting action, although it still works very well in cutting wood/wooden pieces etc.
