So That Happened: A Romantic Comedy: 1 (Donovan Family)

This is a hilariously written romcom (by my favourite romcom author in existence and I have her to thank for getting me into them)I love this book just like I thought i would, its hilarious and light hearted, there's enough charm to leave you wanting more, Annie is so relatable I wish she was my best friend. Liam, AKA Hunky as I miss typed once, is the most wonderful man in existence. Its a beautiful story on Love, timing, honesty and self love.The writing style is one of my favourites, its like chatting with a good friend, so smooth and flows so well, its not even like you're reading, I honestly feel like I'm talking to Annie and Liam instead of reading about them. Its so naturally funny amd is such a good pick me up book if you're down like I was. The pop culture references always make me laugh and there were so many scattered through out this, especially the ending chapter  that was gold! 😂Annie is so funny and relatable and amazing. She is awkward and bubbly and the definition of sunshine. She works hard and doesn't change herself for anyone and embraces her weirdness which I love. The self love she has is honestly inspiring. Her ability to dig herself into MORE awkward situations by running her mouth just adds more charm and I hope she never loses that!Liam is moody, a little frosty but once you get to know him, like Annie says he's like a little lamb. Cuddly and soft and big hearted. Oh my god the love this man has for his niece is heartwarming. Hes so caring and incredible and just such a thoughtful human being  I love him. He too has an ifinity for saying the wrong thing which is hilarious because he gets so shy and awkward about it which makes him all the more likeable. His selflessness is admirable ams the love he has for the people closest to him admirable. We all need a person like that in our lives honestly. Just like we all need an Annie.I LOVED Luke like Hello Miss Bailey are you trying to make him Steal the show?! I was like I so want him to have a book and then realised wait hes getting married! So he probably won't use one which made my heart hurt cuz he's bloody hilarious, but maybe Lana Mae will get one and we'll see more of him (I'm begging here, Lana Mae also deserves a good love story and like I need more of Legs)

Soo sad!Just finished reading this (for free, on Amazon) but I enjoyed it so much I then bought it!An author should get paid for good work, even if I do so twice in effect!Sad? that's because I have now read all the books this talented author appears to have on offer, and I could really use more sheer fun books like this to keep my spirits up.I really hope she has another like this in the pipeline for us all to look forward to.Pretty please?

This book is great. Lovely read with great characters and a great story line. I couldn't put it down once I started reading

Firstly Katie Bailey writes the funniest and warmest rom coms. Her characters are always so loveable and relatable - I have read all her work and really enjoyed them. Highly recommend reading the The Roommate Situation and The Neighbour War!! :)So That Happened - Imagine meeting a stranger on the plane, having a brief connection with him, but then he disappears and reappears as your new boss 😏This book has:- grumpy/sunshine- Workplace (closed door) romance- Forced proximity- A forbidden element- A super supportive family - the male MC’s (Liam’s) brother and sister are just goals 🥺- A cinnamon roll hero - Liam is so swoony with Annie and OMG his relationship with this his adorable niece is AHHHH he’s an amazing uncle 😭- A caring and quirky female MC (Annie) who is unapologetically herself and a badass in her career 🔥What I love the most? Liam and Annie always put everyone else’s happiness before their own, so watching them find happiness in each other was just 🥰Highly recommend this lovely romcom for all the laughs and love ❤️
