An amazing thriller
“It’s amazing what people are capable of. You can’t go by what you see on the surface”.It is perfectly applicable for “Rose Marlowe”, a loving wife, a hardworking nurse and a “merciless killer”. A killer is what she is recognized as today by everyone. She is currently in jail for the same. Her case is somewhat a mystery, where she herself has accepted her crime, yet there are people who think she is innocent. Her case catches the attention of Theo Hazel-a true crime author, who wants to write her story. He approaches her through a letter and Rose agrees to talk to him. And, Theo starts meeting her in the jail and get her side of the story. A story which would change Theo’s course of life.Through, the story Theo realizes that whatever people know about “Rose” is just the surface. She is an innocent woman blamed for a crime which she did not commit, is what Theo thinks…, just when things become a bit clear, a new angle comes into picture…Now, the question remains, Is Rose innocent or a merciless murderer…Well, read the book to find out more…The Nurse written by JA Corrigan is a psychological thriller that keeps the reader hooked from the first page. While reading the book, the reader will get immersed in the life of Rose and start relating to her. But the twist in the end, will leave the reader shocked. Wonderfully written, the book keeps going back and forth, which keeps the reader on the edge. A perfect thriller for all thriller lovers.

Nail-Biting, Twisted, Delicious
I normally wait for a story to simmer before even attempting to review. I figure I need some time to digest what I've read. And while this book is A LOT to digest. Like I mean, my heart is racing, my mind is racing and I absolutely devoured this book, and I want more. More from the author, more from the characters. Just MORE.Anyway, onto the review. J. A. Corrigan, I'd love to burrow myself into your psyche to discover just the nuances of your inner thoughts. Like I'm still stunned. And I'm still nervous. Terrified. Worried. Gobsmacked. The story begins with Rose, a woman convicted of murder. No one can believe she'd do something so insidious. She looks so kind, calm but do you really know what a person is capable of? Theo, a reporter, is adamant to get the truth.Throughout the entire story, I was shocked. And I have to say I'm not often stumped in thrillers. The themes of this book, the nail biting anticipations, the reveals. Everything was done with such class, I gobbled it up.This story discussed love, unrequited love that makes you do horrible things. It discussed loss, loss that damages and changes you into a person you didn't know existed.I could talk about this book for hours, and I will...Even the last chapter stunned me and made me gasp audibly. I'm not recommending that you read this book, I'm demanding it. And then after you do, track me down and let's talk because my mind is still racing!

Very Strong Plot and Characters
I was hooked by this from the beginning, and my admiration for the author just grew as I read on. The plot, with all its twists (some predictable, others not) was credible, but the book's real strength is in the characters, as all of them are so well-drawn, even those who play minor roles. Very enjoyable, with a superb and unexpected but satisfying, conclusion.

A unique idea
This is an intriguing book. The story seems straightforward at first, but then as it unfolds, with one main character investigating the story of the other, it becomes more twisted. Told in chapters of "then" and flipping to chapters of "now" it is a dark tale of naive love, and how the woman came to be in prison. It is well written, albeit with characters who did not have or add much substance to the story, and reads easily. Unfortunately for me "the motive" simply did not ring true, and the latter part of the book felt rushed, almost in a race to get to the end. All in all it is a rather wonderful book with a somewhat disappointing ending. Still, more than worth the read!
