I also like that is breaks down into 3 pieces
It floats!!! I also like that is breaks down into 3 pieces. Also stays at whatever length you set it at, last paddle I had (that sank in the lake!!) didn't stay where I set it & that was irritating! I guess it's a good thing it sank, now I have a quality paddle :)

Best adjustable aluminum paddle for the money!
This is the best value out there... My last adjustable aluminum paddle was over a hundred bucks and this is every bit as good. I like the fact that it can be broken down into 3 pieces in case I want to throw it in my inflatable sup backpack and hike into a lake. It has a high-quality lock mechanism for the adjustable length instead of the cheesy twist-to-tighten design that always breaks. This purchase is a no brainier for the times I can't carry my fixed carbon-fiber paddle.

Very compact for storage and exceptionally reasonable price
At first I was very frustrated when I received this item because it came without any directions, and I couldn't see how to adjust the length. I found a You tube video that explained how to unlatch the hidden pin by pressing on the plastic collar with your thumbs. Poor choice not to include directions. However, I am extremely pleased with the paddle itself. It is actually perfect for a slightly unconventional additional use. I recently bought a 21 foot sailboat, and when I first launched it, both the wind and the outboard motor failed, and I found myself literally "up a creek (actually a canal) without a paddle." because my boat has a relatively high freeboard, a conventional paddle is not practical and is very awkward to use. With this very long adjustable paddle, I can extend it so as to comfortably stand in the cockpit of my boat and paddle it the short distance it takes to get to open water outside the marina where I keep the boat. I am having the motor fixed and ordinarily will use it, but having this paddle as a backup is quite handy and effective. It is also very important that it is adjustable and breaks down into three pieces so it can easily be stored out of the way when not needed, otherwise I wouldn't want to keep it in my small boat, in which case it would be useless. Excellent product.

Very impressed
The paddle was bought to replace a paddle I got when I first got my board, about a year ago. The paddle was $95. This paddle was a third of that price and much higher quality. I feel as if this will last much longer than a year. My husband is also planning on ordering one as it’s a longer paddle and he’s very tall.

Great paddle for the money.
For the price, this paddle is really pretty decent. We rented some relatively expensive inflatable SUPs, and found the paddles they came with were not nearly as good as this one... So this was the one that ended up getting used.

Well made and totally usable.
I needed a paddle for my grandsons, and they don't need a $150-350 carbon fiber paddle. Even though it's only $40, this paddle looks and feels totally usable and durable. Much nicer than paddles I've seen for over $100.It's a well-made piece of gear — plastic and aluminum — with locking positions up and down the top handle section, which is good because it can't slip or twist while you're paddling.

Not good for salt water use
I hesitate between 2 and 3 stars. After about 2 or 3 months of use in the ocean, the mechanism to join the paddle together rusted and fell out. We would rinse the paddle and our board with fresh water after using it in the ocean. The good things about this paddle is that it fits into my suitcase, it is lightweight, it floats, and it works well. In Spanish there's a phrase "lo barato sale caro" and it basically means, cheap things end up being expensive. We had to weld the paddle back together after the mechanism broke. It still works, but it was a bummer it didn't last long as it was.

Very affordable paddle, but scrapes and dings very easily.
This paddle works well, doesn’t weigh much, and is compact. I like how the ring snaps into a notch on the handle and doesn’t turn or slide like the ones that just snap tight. It does break down easily for storage and hauling. HOWEVER, I have this product only 3 stars because it dings and scratches very easily. I’ve used it twice and it looks awful. Yes, it still functions but the handle got scraped last night as we pulled our boards out. It barely scuffed the ground and has deep wear on it that will be annoying the next time I paddle. I may try to wrap something around the top for more comfort. For the price it’s a good buy, but you get what you pay for.
