Great mallets, great value!
I like these mallets, they perform as desired. I bought them for my empty drum and I'm not disappointed. Now I can play the drum with 4, instead of 2!

Do not work on the lower end of my tone bars
These are sturdy and have a nice rubber end, however they do not work well on the lower tones of my tone bars (Montessori elementary tone bars.) I wasn't able to return in time, but the price wasn't too much and we can use them for other things.

Works great!
I needed mallets to dampen the sound of glockenspiels for my elementary music room. I call these the “practice mallets” so I can hear the other instruments playing and not be overpowered by the glockenspiel sound. Great quality, thick and durable!

Too soft for glockenspiel
They seem sturdy enough so far, but they are way too soft for glockenspiel or tone bars. They work pretty well on xylophones. They're pretty short, but it seems to work for K/1.

Nice to have extras
These did the trick on the kids not wanted to share the two we had.

Did serve my purpose
The drums have a rubber cover and do not make a sound on metal. Therefore, I returned the item.

Does the job
For an amazing price these do the job. I bought 3 packs for my school program and they’ve held up really well. Needed the rubber ends for wooden xylophones. Also love the bag that comes with it.

Terrible! Awful! Hardly make a sound!
Because I'm frugal with my money, I thought it would be a better investment to get a set of these mallets instead of just buying one for the same price, but I was mistaken! Another reviewer said that these were too soft to hear and I should have listened, but I had to try it for myself. Please believe me... These are way too soft !My 13-year-old plays the bells, and I was so hoping they would work, but they don't !They hardly make a sound on the bells - glockenspielThe heads pop off easily! As such, we tried a longer handle because these are very short... But the longer handle did not make a difference in sound. I assure you these are not worth your time or effort .The only reason I might suggest getting it is if you don't want to hearLittle toddlers making loud sounds on Minnie xylophones or even on the bells... But in my opinion that does a disservice to any musician in the making!Save yourself the time, and invest in proper mallets. These are just very short sticks with a plastic ball popped on the end.
