Excellent rigid resin
While I'll always use standard ABS-like resin for my day-to-day prints, I often find myself in need of something a bit more resistant to drops and impacts.K, then, is an excellent resin for such a purpose. It adds a little extra toughness for more demanding parts. Mix it with their F69 resin in various quantities and you can achieve almost indestructible resin prints with the detail you just can't get from FDM! If you want to produce tough, fantastic looking resin prints, then this is definitely the way to go. I can't recommend K or any other resione resin enough! They are excellent!

Good quality tough black resin at a cost
I usually use Elegoo grey resin but I gave this a try for a review for Amazon. It is sold as a tough resin and I can’t testify too much to that as I just use for printing 3D sculpts. The print quality looks good with detail coming out clear although it’s always harder to see the detail in black resin, always better after a coat of primer. I used the same settings as I use for Elegoo grey and it seemed to work fine. With it being black it does seem a bit messier to clean up after and I noticed a bit more of a smell in the room than I usually get with the Elegoo resin.This. Resin is priced quite a bit higher than the Elegoo resin at almost twice the cost so I don’t think I would choose it over Elegoo as the extra strength is of no real benefit to me.

Very tough, but not the easiest resin to work with, good strength but not ideal for aesthetics
Cards on the table, I'm primarily an FDM printer user, only one of my four printers is resin & I don't use it as much or have had it as long so I want to be up front that my own shortcomings may have contributed to my problems with this resin. That said I'm not a complete noob, my models are well supported & checked for islands and suction cups, I have printed successfully with every other resin I've used. This material, when successfully printed is tough, really tough, with a little bit of flexibility, one of the things I use my resin printer for is making upgraded parts for my FDMs and this is perfect for items like fan ducts & mounts where brittle parts frequently fail. It's particularly good where parts need some flexibility to clip to other parts such as the V6 20mm Hotend Fan Mount I printed to replace one that snapped due to the brittle resin failing due to the action of fitting and removing it from around the hotend. I printed a couple of spares of each & I think I'll be sorted for the life of the machines! This is also a nice material if some post processing is involved, it can be cut & drilled very nicely without shattering. The problem though has been adhesion, I've fitted a spring steel build plate to my printer and this resin just doesn't want to stick to it, I used the recommended settings (not printed on the bottle, you have to go to the company website & load profiles for all their products into your slicer), failed. Replaced my FEP & coated it with FEP, failed. The only successes have been with more than double the initial layer times recommended & heavy supports, light supports even at high (75%) density have failedAesthetically thin layers come out a dark smoke black but most parts look opaque black, detail is pretty good but the necessity of a lot of heavy supports is less than ideal for display purposes. The attached photo of "The One Ring" was just printed, cleaned & cured then coloured with a gold metallic marker pen. Incidentally, the 'ABS like' moniker made me wonder if it could be vapour smoothed with Acetone. For your information it can't.This isn't a cheap resin, and the price is made worse by the difficulty dialling in the settings, I think I'll have used the bottle up before I'll reach the point where I'm really happy with them. I wouldn't use it for models, display pieces or minitures, but for parts that need particular strength and durability it certainly has the performance and if I was producing a lot of items like that I would invest the necessary time & resin into getting the settings spot on so I could use this.

A decent, flexible resin which is perfect for interlocking parts...
I’ve been into 3D resin printing for nearly a year now and never heard of Resione so jumped at the chance to try this out. This resin is an opaque grey resin and is plant based. It comes in a cardboard box and the bottle is sealed inside a bag for protection against any leaks during transit. It comes in a brown plastic bottle which is great at keeping UV light out. You unseal the lid, and you are presented with a nice big pouring spout. The resin pours nicely out of the bottle and had no bits or anything in it. It is a thick resin but pours well but best to avoid cold temperatures when using this due to its viscosity. The results of the Anycubic RERF test came out as a 1.6s normal layer exposure time as being the best time for detail at 80% UV Power on the Mono X. A sample print came out clean with lots of detail but had some sizing issues which I would have to dial in the printer some more with this resin to compensate, which is to be expected. The resin seems to have a little bit of flexibility to it which helps to stop the final cured print from being too brittle, which is a sign of a good resin and may explain the slightly high price tag as compared to the competition. The thin 45-degree slope on the RERF test was flexible, where with cheaper resins, were solid so the Resione has flexibility which means it’s not too brittle. Because of the flexibility of the resin, it is best suited for parts which interlock with each other as there is a little give in the print. Because of the thickness of the resin, I did have to slow my lift and retract speeds down with a bit of light off delay to allow the resin to move out of the way of the build plate before it cured the next layer. This gave more consistent layer sizes and decreased the pull on the print as it sticks to the FEP. In conclusion, I really like this resin mainly owing to its flexibility which means if you drop your print, there’s a high chance it will survive and not break. It is easy to print with and my test print finished with no imperfections and lots of detail. It was 3 months old from its manufacture date too so gave me a good 9 months before the use by date. The odour was the same as any other regular resin so it was any better or worse in comparison…
