These are the natural colored, unbleached filters. Still a good idea to rinse the filter to rid it of the paper dust and taste to get the best tasting coffee.

I really like the ease of use and the flavor of my coffee while using ChemEx filters. I tried to use a permanent/re-usable filter and it caused my coffee to be less flavorful. My coffee was much lighter in color with the reusable filter, but with the ChemEx filters, my coffee is darker in color and bolder in flavor.

has anyone had issues with these filters ?like trying to get the paper taste out of them ?i unfold them, and rinse them out under hot water much like rinsing out a wash cloth in the shower over and over and over. i can still smell the paper and taste it in the coffee. i’ve never had this issue with my hario pour over filters. UNBELIEVABLY TERRIBLE FILTERS
