6/1/2019: Unit died this morning. Not even functional as a clock anymore. Seemed like a good time to remind everyone what a complete POS this device is. DO NOT PURCHASE!==================10/2018 Update: Had to downgrade this from a 2-star to a 1-star. Would be zero if it were an option. The alarm ("Daily Routine") function just stopped working today and I was late to an important meeting. It's gone from an overpriced alarm clock to an expensive paperweight.==================This is a very pretty-looking alarm clock and suits the decor in my bedroom perfectly. I purchased it to replace a combination alarm clock/radio/white noise machine that I had kept on my dresser for many years. The clock is perfectly functional and you can adjust the display settings in countless ways to fit your needs. The display is very dim at night (based on a schedule that the user configures) which is great because I love a dark bedroom. There is no radio in the traditional sense, but it's 2018 so I wouldn't expect there to be one. Vobot can connect to many local stations that are now broadcasting over the Internet.The main drawback of this product (and the way it is advertised) is that it is NOT a white noise machine. It is a music player. If you want it to imitate a white noise machine, you have to ask the device to play one of many available white noise "songs" available through Amazon and configure the machine to loop it all night long. Each time the song starts over, there is a gap of silence that wakes me up nearly every time. I'm getting WORSE sleep using this product that boasts more restful sleep and discouraged because there are probably a few easy ways to fix the obvious design flaw. (For starters, could Amazon offer a 10-hour-long white noise "song?" That likely wouldn't require any fundamental change to the firmware or architecture.)I'll probably keep the Vobot because there are things I like about it. That said, I'm disheartened that I'll need a second device to recreate the sleep conditions I've become accustomed to.

I picked up this Vobot clock after seeing them in a couple of tech articles.The setup was pretty easy using a web app on my phone. Setup took maybe 5 minutes, including a firmware update which was ready to install when it arrived. After the initial setup, it's pretty much stand alone device.The built in Alexa software seems to be just as responsive as our other devices. One of the of the major complaints I had (not being able to configure the time/ date display manually) has recently been taken care of with a firmware update. It is nice to see that Vobot is indeed taking customer feedback into account and rolling out updates to address bugs and incorporate feature requests. We have three Echo Dots and thought a Vobot might be a great idea for our daughter's room. She is at an age where she really needs an alarm clock for school, but not quite ready (or willing) do deal with manually setting the time, date, and alarm settings on a traditional clock. We have also been using the Alexa features for things like setting a 30-minute timer, checking the weather, etc. So far, things have been working out well, and I'm looking forward to future firmware updates to improve things further.

With its low price and the Alexa function, it is by far the best bedside clock I can find.Likes:* Internal battery - no need to worry about power outage. Also it is using regular usb cable to charge.* Auto time - time is set automatically. I assume day light saving time adjustment will be automatic too which is awesome.* Black background with lighted digits - the kind I like for bedside clock (instead of lighted background and dark digits)* Brightness is adjustable through the app* Customizable display* Price - not too much more expensive than a comparable clock without Alexa* Alexa - almost every feature available to Echo is available in this little guy: music, radio, weather, your calendar, home smart control etc.Don't like:* Setup may be a bit confusing to some people* Need to touch the top of the clock to activate Alexa. Sometimes it is hard to find the spot since the top is smooth.* No Alexa calling support* Screen can be a bit bigger

It's cute and compact. This works as advertised with Alexa. I get the music I request. Played a couple of games with Alexa. Ask for the weather every morning. The timer also works well.The alarm has continued to be a problem. Three of my ongoing alarms now go off as scheduled, but just the other day, a one time only alarm didn't go off. I awoke ahead of the scheduled time and started reading, glancing at the clock periodically. At the time it was to go off the screen did something weird (can't describe it because it happened quickly), but it didn't ring.I don't know if it is supposed to be able to work without being plugged in, but it doesn't for any length of time.I have had many email exchanges with the company. They have worked very hard to get the bugs out and have succeeded for the most part.I have high hopes that in the near future it will work flawlessly, but until then I will use a backup alarm.I was offered a refund due to the many issues I encountered.

Looks great and works perfectly. Very happy with all the settings available and very easy to customize. Good size and perfect amount of light - easy to read without being too bright

Doesn't allow you to use music subscriptions only Amazon I have ytube music not really friendly user interface not that impressed

Does not want to connect with my Australian mobile phone. Does not want to connect to my Wifi connection either. Have followed all directions, researched online and still no luck.

Erstes Aha Erlebnis beim Einrichten des Wlan. Der vobot beherrscht keine langen Passwörter (WPA2 bis 63 Zeichen). Support (der sehr schnell reagiert bestätigt: derzeit werden nur Passwörter bis 54 Zeichen unterstützt. Beim Wecker konnte ich keinen tunein Radiosender einstellen. Es kommt nur der Hinweis (unter ios) "not available" warum auch immer.Erstes Wecken hat funktioniert. Mittlerweile lässt sich auch tunein anwählen (warum auch immer es jetzt geht). Dafür ist mein gewünschter Radiosender (Bayern 3) in meinem Land nicht verfügbar... Und nach zwei Tagen geht mal wieder die Schnittstelle zu tunein nicht mehr (wird aber gerade behoben laut Support) Es lässt sich aber ohne weiteres abspielen (auf Zuruf) und Bayern 1 wäre verfügbar. Wie gesagt, da ist noch viel Luft nach oben, aber ich hoffe auf Firmwareupdates...

As other review has stated, you have to press a small button on the top before being able to do voice commands. So I cant give this a thumbs up as a replacement/ substitute for a standard echo device. That aside, speaker quality is better then an echo dot and clock functionality works as intended. Clock display can also double-up and display selective information like wheather and music info. Built in battery is a nice bonus as it allows you to move it around without being plugged in should you need to. But for a $50 gadget this is great
