Q: Not npt? the description says inlet is "national pipe tapered", but it doesn't appear to be tapered -- and it and the outlet are identical.

Fits perfectly and nozzle works great.

Q: Where can i get the piece between the discharge hose and the nozzle? my new hose came with the champion pump but is simply cut off on the end.

They have a "barbed" end that you can install in the cut off end of the hose, and use some good hose clamp to secure it in the end.
