SATISFIES WITH THEIR FULL STORY!
This book starts where it left on the previous book. It's obvious that Lex will try his best to get back Wren. However, the best thing about the whole process was how beautifully it was written. This was as if I'm watching live movie!!Here you get to see how they comfort each other, hugging and making other person feel safe. It was so wholesome. So good to see Isobel Hunter and all the other characters. Finally they took their revenge on Valentine . It was so fun to read that part!

Couldn't put it down
This book was crazy. It was dark and it treaded in murky waters throughout, but I could not stop myself from reading it. The second book of a duet, Twisted King is narrated in a format that may or may not have been linear but definitely with time-lapses in between.I could not keep track of the bloodshed in the book. Sometimes, it felt like the next shot fired would be aimed at me. The world built by Lex Silver was breaking apart. Wren was trying to escape her own hell. Some things, that I could not find fault with were the characters themselves. They were survivors, and would do anything for love. They would not cherish their love, they would make the world bow down before it.I loved the introduction of Kingston Heart and Isobel Heart in the story. I cannot wait to dive into the dark, twisted and sexy world of Twisted City again.

Oh my Heart!
Twisted King thankfully picks up right where little Bird left us hanging by a thread and on the verge of insanity. The conclusion to Wren and Lex's story is intense and gripping and will no doubt leave you holding your breath and grasping for sanity. This is by far the darker of the two books and I implore you to check any trigger Warnings before jumping right in to listen if you are sensitive to some subjects. With that said I admire an author who is not afraid to really go all in, and while there are very swoony moments this is not a fluffy watered down Mafia Romance. It’s violent, it’s gritty, it’s an edge of your seat ride with a well deserved HEA.Lucy Rivers and Joe Arden gave me chills so many times throughout this story. Wren went through a lot in this book and they both brought out that raw desperation, anger, and pain into their performances that you feel in your bones. It was breathtaking and just shows the talent they have that amazes me. Well done!!Overall the conclusion to this duet wrapped up the story nicely and I loved every minute it!!! And even though it’s early in the year I just know this duet will be one of my top listens of this year!

great read!
I loved how it didn’t have an abrupt ending like you usually get. This book had a smooth ending which at first had me confused but now is my favourite part about the book.

Yes!
This was everything I needed book two to be. I love Lex so much, and wren is the bada$$ I knew she could be. I read both books in less than 24 hours and can't wait to read more from Ria!

loved this conclusion! can’t wait for more in this world!
“The organ inside my chest no longer beats for me or this city, it beats for her. It thrums for her touch, her body and without it, the thing is useless.”Lex & Wren have a love that is so intertwined by their lives, their mutual connections and their darkness.“Twisted King,” by Ria Wilde, is book two in the Twisted City Duet. It is a dark romance, and centered around organized crime. It picked up where it left off in book one, and took me on a tantalizing journey of death, destruction and grit. Wren was challenged with the position she was in - who she was, and what it left of her unknown and unwanted legacy. Lex found himself utilizing all of his resources and going above who he was as the king of darkness - just to get his little bird back. It was a great ending and conclusion to this duet, and I’m SO anxious to see more of the secondary characters in this book.TW // non-con; suicide

Twisted King in deed
Twisted King gave us a beautiful wrap up to Wren and Lex's story. Even as the story starts off in a rough place there is alot of up and down that Ria has weaved into this book. Lex is willing to burn the world to ash to get his little bird back and it shows. Wren will not give up and will stop at nothing to protect the ones she loves. Together they will forever rule the Twisted City❤️❤️ I am excoted to read on and see where Kingston and Isobelle's stories take them. The Narrator's do an amazing job once again bringing these characters voices to us. I have really enjoyed listening to this series and can not wait to see what Kingston sounds like next.❤️
